lots of ends and outs to PT. Lot of competition on for PT but in the end the cream rise to the top. When you go to a big time program you know there is going to be a lot of competition for PT but in the end who ever is the best is going to get the bulk of PT. No top tier talent should be afraid of the competition for PT

what is Keiland Williams doing now? is he still playing? oh, ok.
And you have to think had he actually had enough draft stock to be drafted, if he would have gotten more of a chance to prove himself.
Or at least been able to earn enough money to do well for himself in the future.
What is Cadilliac Williams doing right now? He was an OK NFL running back during his time. He had a 30million dollar contract with 13 mil in guaranteed money.
Difference probably is, he finished his career at Auburn with 741 carries and 45 TDs. He was picked 5th overall. And you can't tell me he was that much more talented than a guy like Keiland Williams

Please show me something that I said that isn't factual.
what you are saying may have some semblance of the truth to it but you are talking about the past offense under a different Offensive Coordinator with a totally different offensive scheme. fact is Jeremy Hill ran for 1300 yards under our new first year OC.

Look at Arkansas with Felix Jones, Darren McFadden, and Payton Hillis.. and 2 went in the first freaking round together..
just like Auburn, those were always 2 RB teams.
McFadden and Cadillac getting the bulk of the carries in those offenses. With the 2nd guys (Jones/Brown) getting enough carries (150+)to showcase their skills.

True, but it still holds water when talking about having a loaded backfield.
Fournette if he comes will be in position to get the bulk of the carries for his career, just like Hill has.
but to me it is a hard sell for other RBs. I dont think anyone wants to come in and be the 3rd RB. But sometimes they have to settle for that because in the end just arent as good as the 1st guy. When in reality they are good enough to be RB1 somewhere else

Come on Lester, Cadillac was a far better player than Keiland. Keiland looked like he had great potential as a sophomore but seemed like a totally different player by his last year. He only minimally would have improved his draft status if he was featured.

It's great we have team players that accept that role, but im sure its not exactly what they envision when they come to LSU.
It might not be, but besides LF I don't think the coaches sell these kids on that. They say share the backfield, save your body for the NFL. Just look at hill, he really doesn't have that many miles on him.

We don't like to use up our backs. The best RB(our "feature back") will get significantly more snaps than the others, but there is so much merit to keeping the legs of your top RB fresh, decreasing his chance of injury from overuse, fatigue, and normal wear on ligaments, tendons, etc. in both a game and his college career. Lester Earl, you are nothing more than a clever troll and Bama fan. You walk the line well, but what you claim are facts are actually your opinions that you try to support with statistics. The statistics are facts, not your interpretation of the larger implications of those statistics.
LF is an absolute monster. Period. He will be the feature back and is an elite talent that runs, blocks, and can catch out of the backfield. The entire play book is open with him in the game. SP and others will be used in certain situations and to give LF some rest(let's call this his "power up" time".
You sir, are no LSU fan.

The best sell ever would be Joseph Addai. He played at LSU, and was a part of the RB group. He didn't really stand out at LSU because the way LSU uses their running backs to keep fresh legs in the game while the defense continues to get tired.
But, he goes to the NFL and is successful for quite some time.

And again, how is the OP a good sell to recruits when we've had three backs in the Miles era (Addai, Hester, Ridley) who didn't wash out in the NFL?
I think there's a good pitch to be made, sure, but that ain't it. The good pitch to make is how we handled the RB situation in 2012-13. 2012, we had Blue, Ware, Ford, and Hilliard all returning, but by the end of the year Hill, a newcomer, had gotten out ahead of the pack. In 2013 he was the man, and he's going to get drafted pretty high in the 2014 Draft.
So the pitch isn't "Come to LSU all at once so you can all be stars in the League," because recent history hasn't shown it to work. It's "Come to LSU and don't be afraid of star competition, because if you're good enough, you'll take control of the pack and we'll get to the League."
