In all fairness, with the way the NFL has been going with RBs in recent years…not real any school can say "come here and you'll be an elite RB in the NFL." Hell two of the best NCAA RBs in recent years (Ingram and TRich) have been….less than stellar in the NFL.

I think being able to say, come here, you'll be fresh for the NFL but still get your numbers here and still make it to the NFL is quite a big deal.

Yeah, and I think that pitch works to an extent, but I don't think the examples in this thread of it in practice are good at all

So the pitch isn't "Come to LSU all at once so you can all be stars in the League," because recent history hasn't shown it to work.

You really are this dumb aren't you. BTW, who in the frick said your quote? You take after your man crush. The poster that called out LE was correct in that as usual, LE uses statistics to try and turn his opinion into fact.

Now act like a grown as man and get LE's man stick out of your mouth and form your own opinion.

And Lester you would have thought the KW crap would have died when he did get his shot in the NFL and it didn't work out. I get that he looked great on those outside runs with all that speed and our big OL plowing the way for him but he just didn't have the between the tackles vision.

It was a summary of the argument

And... how has it happened? We've had three backs that have stayed in the League for a while under Miles. Addai (2005), Hester (2007) and Ridley (2010). Hill looks like he'll be the next one (2013). None of those backs were contemporaries. All of them broke out ahead of several other talented guys who haven't made it.

So based on that it's entirely fair to say that it's disingenuous to recruit all six of the backs in the OP on the basis that we can spread the ball around well enough to put them all in the NFL.

I actually don't even know why im being hated on in this thread. Im not really dissing LSU, im just addressing how they use their RBs. And how Bama has had better success putting RBs into the NFL.

And stats are facts. Please quote anything i said that is inaccurate. Otherwise STFU.

Yes, Bama has put more running backs in the NFL in recent years. However. Not so fast my friend. LSU has been more productive in the NFL. Pretty much across the board. So, u stfu and stop acting like u know shite. U know nothing. Take it from someone that actually knows...LSU is much better than Bama or anywhere else to get to the pros. End of discussion. It's not even close. GTFO

I don't know who he is, but I do believe he's something on an insider. I can't recall now what it was, but a few months ago he was ahead of the media on a couple of things.....I believe one of them was the Jeremy Hill suspension. But he also mentioned recruiting good news a few days before one of our big commitments.

ETA: it's true that anyone can get lucky on a couple of predictions but this guy just seems more connected to me.
Also, most blowhards claiming to be connected have a much higher post count. In his case I think the low post count actually makes it more likely that he has some info before the rest of us......It's not like he comes here posting his every thought.

He writes like a kid in junior high, so I'll hold off on calling him some sort of insider for the time being.

LE uses statistics to support his opinion? The horrors! He should really just state his opinions as fact without anything at all to back them up, like most of the posters on this site. (e.g. We're not going to get [recruit] -- I just have a bad feeling about him.)

Seriously, we all know that LE is a jerk (I'm trying to be polite), but he's knowledgeable and intelligent. And agreeing with him on something doesn't mean anyone has a man-crush on him -- LE has so many opinions on so many topics that it would be very hard to disagree with him all the time.

Please continue jumping to conclusions based on limited diction in a minuscule sample size...on a message board. Smart move.

There are 3 RBs on NFL rosters right now from Bama. There are 4 RBs on NFL rosters right now from LSU.

More reliable than the old mail man in rain sleet or snow, LE dogging LSU running backs.

Maybe we could get you a sticky that says Bama RB > LSU RB's and save everyone some time.

That's great and all, but I'd rather not deal with it if he's going to be an asshat that flames people who aren't blindly sunshine pumping and then acts like some tryhard tough guy when called out for it. I'm real sick of how many people show up here with "sources" and then get a head bigger than the moon.

I don't doubt he's an insider based on his posts here, but that doesn't mean I want him to post more if he's going to act like a child. If all our insiders acted like this I'd just wait until February.

Is it your belief that if Fournette goes to Bama he will be a first rounder and if he comes to LSU ,he will be under used and be lucky to go in the 3rd?
