Have to think losing out on Mukuba is what made LSU offer hoping it doesn’t have anything to do with Sage but do we finally now get the undersized underrated Louisiana DB we been asking for?

Not a bad offer but I'm still wondering what the staff doesn't see in Jardin Gilbert. Maybe it's me missing something. Gonna be an interesting finish.

I said he wouldn't make the class and I still sort of feel like that

Should we bring up what you said?
You said Sam Hubbard would be Brian urlacher in the nfl.

Langlois looks like a baller. High level athleticism. Not your typical white safety haha. And he’s from the boot. A 3* from the boot often times ends up outplaying 4*s from out of state. Kids gonna give it his all for the purple and gold. Diamond in the rough, kid can play

I hope you’re right. I have some hesitation about offering him. He doesn’t have the frame to fill out like a steltz. I guess he could be a Jack Hunt, but if we’re being honest, his high school competition is pretty poor. I’ve seen us settle for guys in the past and a lot of times it comes back to bite us. Like I said, I hope I’m wrong and wish the kid blows the doors off once he gets to college.

I have no problem offering him, but why green light his commitment already?... Not a good sign IMO... No reason to rush to flip a 3* undersized white boy from KState...

There are Plenty of great white safeties

And 6’ 185 isn’t undersized. The best safeties grow into their bodies.

185lbs
315lb power clean

10.9 100m

He has like 20 P5 offers. If he played at John Curtis he’d be recruited by everyone

I see why my point was taken the way it was... I'm not saying he can't be good at all. I'm just saying there's no reason to rush to take him at the moment. Shoot your shot with some bigger targets and keep Langlois at arms length. But then again, there have been a number of recruits on the D side very turned off by the current state of affairs... so maybe its just writing on the wall

There's no big fish left at S after Derrick Davis.(excluding Sage Ryan) This isn't a normal recruiting year. Without visits kids are going with relationships already built and we slowplayed and missed on the ones we had those with. Only hope is one of the instate kids, kids that break out this season and don't have already built in relationships or visits open up in January. Langlois is a comfortable offer because they have already vetted him. I personally prefer Gilbert but Langlois isn't bad considering. Likely the same reason for the Nabors offer. The board isn't that big at any position at this point. At least with kids we realistically have a chance to land.

They also are losing some traction with Brian Thomas Jr. It isn't over, but Bama is squarely in the race now.
