The combined rankings after portal additions will be #1, no doubt.
When was the last time a coach changed the narrative that much? Can't remember one since I've been alive

Wonder what happened in 2021

I bet Lane will get a few more in February

Ole Miss has been our little brother for 30 years or more. That’s why Lane came here in the first place.

They just don't want a team from Louisiana to be dominate, especially against the golden team, Alabama.
I really hope you dont believe what you just wrote

Kelly was walking around with a paper bag on his head. He couldn't pull those classes with all the free poontang there is to offer in LA

Yeah, McAfee said he knew LSU was obviously a big program with lots of tradition, but basically admitted he was ignorant to how many people view it as an elite job.
Finebaum is a perpetual troll who will say anything to stir up his listeners, and Rece is just being a bitter gump.

Trolling arse McAfee knows just as much as anyone, but seemed to acknowledge it when he said something to the effect of:
"they're gonna be incredible"
"they're gonna be incredible"

It's negligent to be a sports personality these days and not understand what LSU has to offer to coaches. This alone disqualifies their opinions

This is just the beginning

I guess we do piss and moan a lot
3 5-star recruits rarely happen at LSU. 6 times in the last 22 years. 4 in 2009 was unreal. I used On3's industry rankings.
2004 (Early Doucet, Xavier Carter, Glenn Dorsey)
2009 (Russell Sheppard, Craig Losten, Rueben Randle, Chris Davenport)
2011 (La'el Collins, Anthony Johnson, Jarvis Landry)
2016 (Kristian Fulton, Rashard Lawrence, Ed Alexander)
2019 (Derek Stingley, John Emery, Marcel Brooks)
2020 (Arik Gilbert, Eli Ricks, and Kayshon Boutte)

Xavier Carter…that’s a name I haven’t heard in ages.
He was in my English class and I graded his paper once: glad he stuck to track and guns, wasn’t going to be a writer.

This wont be mentioned by the talking heads when they regurgitate the LSU vs OM choice as being equal.
That’s because they suffer from recency bias. They forget that before Kiffin showed up, outside of a few seasons when Hugh Freeze had them rolling, Ole Miss has been a middle of the pack, at best, SEC program.

Other than Stingley (1 year), and Fulton- Talk about 5*’s that were overhyped and didn’t produce. Holy Jesus Christ, the recruiting rankings are total bullshite. I don’t put much stock in them, never have.

Emery couldn't stay healthy. Gilbert was a head case. Lawrence was very good. Ed Alexander had injury issues that probably limited him a bit. Ricks and Boutte were also good, but did seriously underperform.
My opinion of Ricks is probably colored by his leaving LSU.
5 Star rankings are generally an indication of extraordinary potential, rating a HS kid's ability to grow into his frame while maintaining his athleticism, as well as learning more complex football schemes, is always going to be a bit of an educated guess.
