I remember I said that about the honey badger when we offered him. That was pretty dumb.

Committed to Miami this afternoon

LSU can always reevaluate later down the road. Won’t be hard to flip him from a Miami commitment that occurred on an OV. Having said that, I don’t see the numbers ever allowing it.

Good spot for him. I know his dad and this has been brewing for a while. He’ll do well there.

His dad and mom are good people. Got to know them when my son played at MHS. Happy for him and them.

Not with Landon. LSU burned that bridge with this young man. This young man knows how he stacks up against the WR’s in the state, and will go where he is welcomed. Subjective evaluations always have consequences.
Miami did it right, and is now rewarded with 4 star talent.

They always say this, then when LSU offers they reconsider.

I wish the kid well, but no way I’d drop Shazz, Anderson or Decoldest for him (if it came down to a situation where that was the decision that had to be made). But I agree that he will probably do well at Miami

Is it safe to say this:

If the coaches think he’s good enough to offer as a 5th receiver, then he will get an offer before December.

It’s tough to see talent leave, but wr is plenty pickings in La.

i beg to differ here. i've seen this kid and his fam at multiple tailgates on weekends that had nothing to do with visits, recruiting etc.....lsu fans.....if the offer came, i'd say they would re-evaluate their decision.

Ibieta is a Trey Quinn who will actually hold onto the ball on 3rd and 7 in critical games.

That said, glad he's out of the northshore peewee leagues now. Tired of watching him take 70 yard pitchouts to the house.

if LSU offered tomorrow I don’t think it would matter.

It would matter. He still loves LSU and would commit on the spot.

Well, his mom played and coached volleyball at LSU. She’s also one of the most respected high school coaches in the state and still has a relationship with people at LSU.

I think you are talking about someone else. Ibieta’s mom isn’t a high school
coach.

Supposedly, we’re turning the heat up again on ibieta. I think the staff knows he will sign no matter what happens. I also believe they must be losing confidence with Preston and Anderson.

I would HATE to lose Anderson. He's one of the most dynamic playmakers I have ever watched play HS football and he'd make an immediate impact as a return man.
