Bell & Lacy

Bell & Lacy
While LSU wanted Bell early on, he was our weakest commit at WR and wouldn't be in the 3 deep right now.
Lacy wasn't anywhere close to eligible and I don't believe LSU offered him based on that. He magically got eligible with Curtis' help (surprise, surprise) after committing to Bama.
Sentimore was a grades thing and LSU offered late, and Sentimore got tricked into honoring his commitment, which Saban obviously didn't.
Luther Davis had his offer pulled before committing to Bama for being a liar to the LSU coaches.
Green was never offered by LSU.
So of the 5 you mention, only Bell was taken from LSU with a legitimate offer in hand, and LSU pulled better receivers in his place.
The other 4 were grade/character risks or lower rated talent that LSU either didn't offer or offered so late in the game that it wasn't a big deal.
Now if Collins goes to LSU, he'd be the first real big hyped loss LSU in state since McKnight. We did just fine without landing McKnight.
ETA: Sylve might turn out to be a Louisiana player worth a damn that Bama took, but as of right now, he's a special teams player at best.

Judging by your quote he only mentioned two.

He was responding to another poster that listed Sentimore, Davis, and Green. I am not attacking him, just giving more detail in general for the thread.
Both Lacy and Bell were decent recruits, but is Bell better than any of the following from that class or the following one?
Randle, Shepard, Fobbs, Boone, Williams and Wright?
Lacy is a very good running back too, but LSU wasn't going to take him based on the near sure likelihood that he wasn't going to qualify. There is literally no way the kid should've qualified and the lack of diligence done by the clearing house in that case was utterly pathetic.

I'm really surprised LSU hasnt cut ties with John Curtis after all these years and backstabbings.

Not sure if serious. Dillon Gordon.

....and he wasn't good enough to play WR like he was recruited for and is no moved to DB.

Landon's trip to Texas de Brazil should seal the deal.
I still wonder why Les takes recruits there instead of a great LA restaurant. I guess it's better than sonic at least.

This is BS. Les got us Rueben Randle and $abun wanted him bad....If he would have gotten him theres a good chance we arent in the BCSCG.
If LES thinks we need Collins that bad he will get him. If not,,,,,he wont. $abuns only getting kids who were bama leans to begin with.....with the exception of Sentimore....who i am sure regrets keeping his word to a liar.

Because an 18yr old male would take all you can eat meats any day over a place like Jubans.

Right now it looks like to me that Bell is better than Fobbs and Boone. Just in having seen dhim on the field thus far.
When he was committed to LSU earlier that year he was a huge get.
I agree that none of these look like direct steals.
But allowing Bama to get Lacey (and he could be Richardson 2.0) next season (no matter how it happened) was not a good thing.
