I would really hope we could get Curne back. I think it was Arky and UGA mentioned for him so far. Hate to see him at UGA would feel like losing SVP again.

Heard sucked in 2024 I don’t know about this last season.

UConn’s 2 OT’s are in the portal but not a lot of those type players in the top 20.

I think he was 3rd team all SEC. He has a younger kid that Tenn thinks has a higher ceiling than him

it showed last year what happens when you skimp on your tackle spots. They need someone that is plug and play, whether it be Heard or someone else. I'd rather pay him 1.8 mil than Kewan Lacy

Exactly same issue with Curne. Dumbass thinks he’s a left tackle.

This is my biggest gripe with Austin Thomas.

There was zero need to spend as much as we did on WR and not get one Tackle to at least shore up the OL if the young guys didn’t progress. We did that with DT yet for O line we went into the season with DJ Chester being our number 1 backup for every single line position.

Yet everyone acts like he was some mastermind of roster building

I saw 3 million but don't know how true it is. Maybe that's why Tenn let him walk.

Of course he does, he’s from Morehouse Parish. Lots of folks to take care of

I just heard that he is looking for 1.5M. This guy is generally a pretty reliable source.

1.5 million for a senior SEC OT with 3 years starting experience is absolutely worth it.

The locker room concerns were valid when he was a sophomore and I absolutely voiced them on TD. There was absolutely no reason to blow up OL chemistry and guarantee him a starting spot as a sophomore over Campbell or Jones and the nature of the current system he made a decision for his interests. 10 years ago he would have developed by starting as a guard his sophomore year and then been LT as Jr and Sr.

Now its let him develop elsewhere and get him on the backend

This is unfortunately one of the places where we will just have to give in and overpay because we are in dangerous territory. He supposedly wants $1.5 million and I would tell him I’d give him $1 even but thats it. I doubt many teams are able to go over around $900K. Just bag him, stick him at LT then go offer Tyree Adams something under $750K and tell him take it or leave it. He could play LG or RT.

He is a left tackle. Curne was forced to play tackle.

The report I saw was $1.5-$3 Mil. That’s a huge difference, but someone will pay $1.5. Highly doubt he gets $3

For context Will Campbell’s last year he got $1.2 million and Heard isn’t in Campbell’s league. The money has just increased across the board. The only players that should make 7 figures are QBs.

I guess he played fairly decent ball considering he’s the #2 ranked OT in the portal. I don’t think he allowed a sack this year and had pretty decent PFF grades throughout the year 75-80
