concerning
No, it's just different times. Although losing guys from U High is pretty common actually.

Every recruit just about is bought and paid for… sucks we lost him ( for now) though, good luck to the kid. Surprised anyone gets their feelings hurt anymore over recruiting, still

What dumbass wants to go play for Texas A&M? They haven’t won a national championship since 1939, they’ve won 1 Big 12 Championship and 0 SEC championships since the early 90s, and they’ve never even made it to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game.
They offer nothing but money, and there are plenty of good football programs that can offer that.

Uhigh seems to go elsewhere while Catholic High seems to stay home. Not sure of the reason but it just always seems to happen that way.

My theory is that LSU doesn't have the same cache' when you literally go to school on LSUs campus. I think I'd want to go somewhere different too.

Ya see that’s the big problem here with recruits now in the NIL era. They don’t care one bit about attending a championship caliber program or winning a championship.. All they care about it is how much money they will be making. In today’s world if Rutgers could or did offer Mr 5 star diva $500,000-$1,000,000 more than Ohio St, UGA or Texas then Mr 5 star will choose Rutgers without even hesitating. Doesn’t even care if he wins 5 games in his entire collegiate career.

It’s disappointing, but I’m sure our staff will try to flip him towards the good guys by December. This isn’t over by a long shot.

I can understand the Ohio State move if I am completely unbiased, but A&M?
You think alot of these kids give 2 sh*ts about the school? If the bag is full than they take it to go along with other NIL deals they are promised by the chosen school. Kids know if it doesn't work out the first or second year it's back to the portal for another bag and other opportunities.

Anytime you lose (2) 5-stars from your backyard, it’s concerning…and then at positions of need….
You act as if this has never happened here before.

Brown has played games for years throughout his recruitment. This could be a blessing

Ask Jacoby Mathews if he regrets his decision to go there. Basically ended his career. Some kids just have to learn the hard way.

Meh he’s not that good anyway

Great player making what has become potentially high-point life financial decisions I'm sure, and it's hard to blame the kid for it. Would have been a nice add, but we have a pretty damn good class still thus far....

Havent lost any yet. Neither are signed. Still time to flip.

Where their father works is not relevant to the attitude of the kid.

It’s the U-High tradition. That school sucks.
It could be that kids that go to HS literally on LSU's campus decided they want to experience something else. Many non-football students who attend U-High do just that and go somewhere else besides LSU for college.
That said, following the whims of HS kids in summer recruiting seems more useless than ever before given the actual decisions won't be made until the parties reach the final "negotiations" in December. Any "commitments" now for ANY school are mostly just creating negotiating leverage for the fall/winter.

Recruiting doesn’t matter. And he’s a guard. This is barely newsworthy.
