Ole Miss offered Allen a day or two after he committed to Tulane.

LSU is on bigger fish right now. Our 2026 WR haul could be one of our best ever. May just not be room for him.

LSU commits (by 247 nat’l WR rank):
1
15
32

Targets:
27 (Jase Mathews)

Allen: #106 WR

This is not going to be a popular opinion, but Lester, you may be my favorite poster here. Not necessarily because of what you think about certain things, but because you don’t hold back and I love hearing opinions.

Thanks man, just like to talk ball for the most part

My prediction for this kid; Sumrall vaults for a P5 job after the season, and Allen follows him.

It will be very interesting to see if he leaves Tulane after this yr.

He could've left last yr. I think he is holding out for a certain few jobs.

LCA ranked in the top 25.

Let me preface it by saying I’m not trying to claim that Vermilion Catholic would beat Brother Martin.

It’s a balancing act of trying to include some top small schools. And VC beat Catholic New Iberia, which beat Calvary Baptist & Dunham (Elijah Haven)

You do basketball stuff too, or just football?

Curious if you are going to be at the prep hoops combines in BR tommorrow…

Yes, I try to cover football, boys & girls hoops, baseball and softball in as much depth as possible for High School on SI.

I won't be there. I'm swamped with football work. Actually covered volleyball on Thursday night.

I work for a few different places.

Please check out my author page here and if you see something you enjoy, I would greatly appreciate it if you would pass it along to others.

ETA I wrote a recent girls basketball article. Please check it out when you have a few minutes. You'll see it on my page. Thanks!

Good stuff here… I got one going in to high school who I HOPE may deserve some pub here soon…. (Fingers crossed)

The combine today had some good
Players. Some of the posted “top players”, however, didn’t really match up with their play on the court… kinda wonder how “political” some of that is.

He’s a
Freshman at Walker High.

Baseball as well. Sitting out football next year, but will most likely play as sophomore. Coach been on him to play as he is (was..?) QB

All of those “camps” are political. Hoopfest, Prep Hoops in particular as far as hoops are concerned.
