Oregon signed only 1 other running back. LSU had several more. I think LSU knew all along Lache was not coming so they stocked up on other RB's. Just the fan base was bored so we created some hype and drama.

Lache is not going to come in and rise to the top of the depth chart right away.
He doesn't have to be at the top to play. Kenjon Barner will play the tzr position and return punts and kickoffs and Lache could be the backup to Lamichael James and compete on the kickoff team. Oregon has had 3 years this past decade where two running backs had a thousand yards in the same season. He could very well play or redshirt. They have Dontae Williams who they want to use as their power back.
Oregon also took a qb from houston two years ago, dontae williams' former high school teammate.

Stupidest post of the day.
What does that have to do with his choice of schools?
Spoken like a true Left Coast, liberal, wacko, loon...can't see the forest for the trees...
Lache will sure have a culture shock...
But, good luck to him anyway...I like that kid and look forward to seeing him play and whip USC's arse!

No, actually, LSU is among those schools whose programs produce the greatest revenue, and Oregon is not even close.

I thought eco-topia might be an interesting concept for them.
You kind of remind me of Chicken, from the old Cow & Chicken cartoon.
ETA: I would like to add that I have ben to Oregon several times. It doesn't rank in the top 20 in my list of most beautiful states. Now Washington, on the other hand. . .#1

Yeah, I was complimenting Oregon on their dearth of RBs.
Lache will contribute, but not rise to the top because the Ducks have a bare cupboard.

Best of luck to Lache... Wish he was a tiger, but what's done is done.
I'm looking forward to hearing from Jen and Born about the recruiting process and what swayed him to Oregon over LSU. I rarely get an opportunity to get first hand info like that.
And despite what some have said... I like Jen too! I hope she visits often!

I wish we could have gotten him, but this is truly a good decision IMO. Oregon RB's are always Great, he has less competition, and his running style fits well in Chip Kelly's offense.
And, his HC/OC will probably find a way for him to touch the football as a true freshman. It aint freakin Rocket Science as I like to say a lot........

When the book "Chasing Lache" hits the stores it will tell all about Lache's recruitment. Jen and I will co- write it. It will take some time because AU will have it locked up in court with a motion that this book be burned before the NCAA reads it.
Just playing with CPA and his AU buds.

The only thing that gets me is his coment that he was going to shock the world.... I have been convinced for 3 months that he was going to oregon....
I was expecting him to pull the shocker and go to Baylor or something

Did he say that when he was at Toothless Corner?

I think it was during the FB season Born. It was when he still planned to announce at the AAA game.

I'm sure most are sick of hearing about the kid, but I did find this kind of interesting....

I think the Texas staff soured on Lache. Not sure why, one can only speculate. We can certainly use an RB of his caliber. Maybe the same story with the LSU and Auburn.

Texas insiders claim Seastrunk sided with a street agent to handle his recruitment. I have no real knowledge if that's true, but if it is that explains it. Mack Brown has stated time and time again he doesn't deal with intermediaries.
In any case there are 3 BIG Texas RB's next year that are all interested in Texas. We're fine.

Yeah, I'm sure the ONLY reason was because of the lack of offense in 2009.
It's certainly can't be the fact that no offensive player has been much of a star here under Les Miles.
Oh, I forgot Jacob Hester.

Thank goodness Miles didn't offer Christine Michaels last year thinking it would scare Seastrunk off this year. Michaeals was wanting to come to LSU but Miles would not offer so he signed with Texas A&M and ran for over 700 yards as a freshman. Great forsite and decision Miles.

Why the hell did he go to Oregon? At best he'll be their number 3 back. At LSU he could have competed for the number one spot in his first year. Hell even at Texas they don't have a set number one back.

Missed on Storm Johnson who wanted to be a tiger as well. Just had to get that out!
