Kaine is playing LB for Alabama. They told him he would have a shot to play safety, but we know how that goes.

Does Kimo have the agility to play OT?

I just don't think he has the length - he's 6'4", but a C/G 6'4" (arm/leg length)

We've had to play so many tweeners outside over the years, it boggles the mind. As it is, I think our 4th option at tackle, right now, is Hill and he's a natural guard.

Looking at the roster, Turner might get cross-trained at all the positions (Will Clapp 2.0), but I suspect he stays inside and becomes the starting center in 2022. Martinez might develop, but with Deculus gone, and assuming Rosenthal keeps it together off the field, the starters will likely be Rosenthal at LT, Wire at RT and Dumervil the first reserve option.

Depending on which juniors leave, we might have some holes inside, but we always seem to be able to find guards and centers.

I don't buy the "stars don't mean anything" narrative. The teams that recruit well (and that means stars) are the ones in the championship conversation every year. That having been said the hardest position to evaluate on the high school level is offensive line. There are more hit or misses there than any other position. There are numerous examples underrated kids becoming stars and visa versa. You have to trust the coaches on this but if they whiff on too many players not panning out they lose their jobs.

What’s funny is LSUs best OLine to date featured 3 project guy, with Lewis, Charles, and Cush all playing in the NFL now.

And Adrain MaGee. The only non-project guy was Deculus, a high four star.

Keep in mind that those measurements and weight were taken when he was 16yrs. He’s just recently turned 17 and has grown since. So he’s a 6’5”-6’6”. He’s still young and growing. Whatever the case. I believe he will be a good fit for LSU.

This is fricking awesome. Feels really good to finally see LSU gaining momentum as it relates to recruitment of offensive lineman (OL).

If we can somehow parlay this momentum into commitment from Tristan Leigh, The 2021 OL class will be pretty dam strong (two top-100 OTs, an OL with some versatility, & a plug-and-play transfer OG with 2 yrs of eligibility).

Finish it off with either of the 4* Safety from U-High (Gilbert) or Florida WR (Rucker), and I’d say it is potentially one of the best ever IMO.

Saban always takes commitments early from guys he hopes he can process and replace with others. We are starting to do that as well. I’m not saying Kaine is one of those, but Saban would have taken Sage Ryan over Kaine any day of the week.

Maybe, but Dellinger is rated higher. I do love your optimism, though.
