He carries that 285# with ease. He's a #320 kid eventually. still baby-faced too.

What’s funny is LSUs best OLine to date featured 3 project guy, with Lewis, Charles, and Cush all playing in the NFL now. Of course everyone hopes for the 5 star freaks, but that just hasn’t been in the cards at LSU. That also doesn’t mean slightly lower rated guys can’t yield great success, with 2019 highlighting that.

Let’s get this kid! Looks like he could grown into a beast. That’s gonna be a huge dude. Agile and room to fill out looks lean and mean. Get him O!

This kid passes the eye test. How does he only rate 3 stars. He has plenty of room to grow and get stronger.

Not sure some of the big Pacific Islanders ever grow out of the baby face

A poster on another site, and I'm paraphrasing, stated that he's a projected center and centers are rated lower than the other OL positions.

Kimo didn’t get much of a chance to get relooked at through Rivals. They gave him his turn and moved on. I believed that can be over rated sometimes. Stars don’t mean anything.

Just talked to a very reliable source and was told that Kimo is having the time of his life and seems to be letting the purple and gold sink in. He has not taken his eyes off the field sitting near midfield on Tigers side lower bowl.

If you look at his film and his offers then he’s absolutely a take for LSU at this time. He has the possibility of growing more and will take at least a year to put on necessary weight and add strength. It looks like once he does he can play inside or RT. I’d try holding onto the transfer at center, let him develop more and also trying to develop the guys we got the last 2 years to play center.

Next years class HAS to produce at least 5 or 6 OLman. 3 OTs / OC / 2 OG or 4 OTs / OC / 2 OGs. Of course you go for the top 20 guys but you OL project haters are retards. Almost every northern or Midwest school who produces great OLman and great OL’s all recruit 3* projects. Ohio State is the only one landing big time 5* OLman regularly. There is not a damn thing wrong with getting 2 or 3 4* guys with 2 or 3 3* OLman who move well but may need 2 years to develop technique, size and strength.

LSU just hasn’t had ANY instate OL recruits to get a head start with. That would help us land more higher end talent if we had 1 or 2 4* guys to work with. At that point 1 or 2 4*s from OOS would be sufficient for us. Then get another 1 or 2 3* guys to develop later. It’ll come around at some point I hoped if not then we just have to expand our recruiting territory and the time we spend on OOS OLman. We don’t have many more options but to go all out for OL talent. Create a damn OL team if need be.

I don't know if thats true.

I initially thought that since we dont have anyone in the pipeline but he doesnt look like the prototypical center

And they still led the Big 10 in sacks allowed, and that’s with a mobile quarterback and less games than some other teams.

And they are still winning their conference and going to the playoffs.

Clemson, OsU, Bama are recruiting consistently along the line fronts. We are not.

Kimo received a call from Coach Cregg after the game and was amazed by the size and height of Kimo. he said “when I saw Kimo...whoa...amazed. That’s why we really need him”.

And? Nothing you posted has anything to do with what I posted.

Ohio State LITERALLY leads the Big 10 in sacks allowed.

With FSUs lack of contact and LSU pursuance, it would certainly seem so. He enjoyed himself today and that’s good.

They get whoever they want

Saban wanted Sage Ryan - didn’t get him. He wanted Derrick Davis - didn’t get him. He settled for a Louisiana kid at safety who we didn’t want - Kaine Williams. Also, Saban didn’t sign a RB, but we got the only highly ranked RB in Alabama.
