#5 from Rummel was one of the top players in our entire state last season. Why are the Tigers not on this guy? Bama is there today recruiting him.

15-0 national champions.

Maybe it's safe to start assuming the staff knows what they're doing.

I doubt Bama is there for Kaufman only
They have some other players coming up underclassmen that will be top recruits
Plus you lay the groundwork with players like Fulton and Chase coming out recently

Have an odd feeling this guy makes the class.

And I hope he does.

Was told by Rummel's trainer that Kaufman made a visit with Koy Moore, don't know what came of it, but it's a start...

The tigers seriously need to sign this kid...

Good kid with a good head on his shoulders...

Saw that then looked who made it. David Johnson, huge OM homer, much like Yancey Porter, without the extracurriculars. OM has some of the worst recruiting insiders in the business in terms of homer stances.

Look, it was an incredible season, and I'm on board with giving the staff extra leeway because of it. But this idea that all objective and critical thought must be permanently and completely eliminated because of one season is, frankly, ridiculous and annoying.

Remember that '01 Miami team that everyone keeps referencing when talking about whether LSU had the greatest team in CFB history? Of course you do. We all do. But do you remember how short lived that success was?

I'm not saying that to suggest that LSU is about to plunge into perpetual mediocrity like that school, or Nebraska has. I'm only reminding you, and all others who think like you on this subject, that just because a team has a great year, that doesn't mean that everyone in charge of it is a genius. They are going to have to prove that they can continue the model that was established, even as assistants leave. They are going to have to prove that they can develop QB's consistently. If they do that over a reasonable period of time, then it will be far more appropriate to tell people to trust the staff.

Until then, it's ok to let people enjoy the championship without having to surrender their ability to think objectively.

He might get in the class but he has physical limitations. He is not overly tall or fast.

How does his speed and height compare to amik?
I haven't seen any highlights or tape of kaufman yet.

Kaufman

quote:

Kaufman is a versatile safety that plays more like a linebacker and possesses great speed, having been timed at 4.49 in the 40 and 11.51 at 100-meters. That speed is why I feel Kaufman could make the move and play corner at the next level.

Bama will take him as a body to get a foot in the door at rummel. Kinda like slade bolden at West Monroe

Are you his coach?
Why aren’t you sending messages to LSU instead of posting them on a message board?

I'm not his coach. I know his coaches and they don't understand why LSU isn't recruiting him heavily. I watched 7 of the LHSAA state championships this season and every Rummel game. He was one of the best players in La. Kaufman is a ball hawk and a playmaker. I'd like to see him in purple and gold because I think that he'd be great for us.

11.51 is a poor 100 m time.
Maybe that's my answer.
