Alabama's current roster and 2025 class are completely collapsing.

Any plan that was put forth by the REC and Alabama AD after Saban's retirement to keep players from transferring was an unequivocal failure.

Even worse, they can't go get players due to the portal being closed. They'll be tampering like crazy before the spring portal window.

They can still get commits. The portal is only closed to enter it, once you in the portal you don't have a deadline to commit anywhere.

They needed a splash hire to hold things together. Lane Kiffen was probably the worst hire they could make and they did even worse.

Right, I guess meant they can't get the quality of player they are used to right now. What's left in the portal will not help them win next year.

It makes sense to me. I don’t mean to sound bitter, but why stay without Saban? I know people tease Baton Rouge isn’t great, but I can’t imagine these guys staying in Tuscaloosa without Saban running the team. At least Louisiana has great food.

My immediate thought. Or Washington has a LT that will follow DeBoer

Heard would be a upgrade for them over Proctor
