From right here in BR. Just don't let Elijah Haven leave BR.

LSU isn't gonna wait until 2027 to win.
They are going to go get portal guys for the next few years if they have to

LSU doesn't wait 3 years for 1 player that its not guaranteed.

Play Hurley and use that money on Stewart and a few good WR’s

Who says riding with Hurley is waiting to win? You are showing some ignorance. Hurley was a big time recruit as well but him being already on the roster has dumb dumbs like you thinking he sucks.
He was a 4 to 5 star player depending on recruiting service. He reclassed to 2024 had he stayed in 2025 he would have been a top 5 QB. Instead, he enrolled at LSU at 16 last January and participated in Spring ball at 17 years of age and is taking a known redshirt year to gain both physical and mental maturity in LSU system. Given another year to mature this kids has all the tools to be special.
Use this available NIL on positions of need for next year. Hurley is the real deal.

What have you seen from Hurley to make you think he would be any good, at this level?
You're really basing it on nothing but hope. LSU clearly doesn't have high faith because they were willing to pay another guy 6-8 million.
LSU is going to go after transfers. If Hurley beats them out, great.

Hell yes. I can't wait to finally make the playoff in year 7

He looked solid in the limited reps in the Spring game. Of course, you go grab a QB in the portal depth doesn’t hurt anyone.
He has more film on the college level than the kid you are freaking out about. The kid could be a huge bust we don’t know that about underwood… DJ U looked like the next great one out of high school did that work out? You never know with these kids.

Praying Nuss transfers to a smaller school in TX. Can't throw that many picks in the SEC

I'm not freaking out about Underwood. Its certainly a bad look and it hurts, but the only thing more worthless than the NFL Draft is College Recruiting.
I'd go after Portal guys constantly personally

You dumb. What happens when he goes to highest bidder?

Cannot build a strong foundation through the portal. You can supplement through the portal or go all in for one season through the portal but sustained high level success is built through High School and development.
The top tier programs who have sustained success hit the portal to fill needs not building rosters. Teams like Ole Miss this year are a one and done. They will never achieve more than making a playoff once every few years.
You have to have patience to rebuild a roster through high school. It’s takes more time than the portal but it’s the only way to sustain success year in and out.

I have zero confidence we will make the playoffs every few years.

Need to go ahead and make a solid nil deal with that kid. He us home grown qb talent. Get him locked up now.

This just isn't true. He was ranked highly in rankings after his sophomore year. Go back and revisit those rankings and tell me how they look compared to now. I'd venture to say, without looking, 75 of the 100 kids in that set of rankings aren't in the top 100 now as seniors. Likely half aren't in the top 300. A quarter 3 stars.
He moved up a year and was a 3 star. Julian Lewis, who is by far a better prospect, did the same and is a top 50 player. 50% completion rate in HS for Hurley. About the same number Nuss has the last 3 games. We lost those 3 games. Yeah, let's hitch our wagon to Hurley.
It's pure cope. Not unexpected from sunshine pumpers who think everything is always rosey at LSU. History proves it just isn't true. I honestly admire those of you who can remain so steadfastly positive even when everything you can tangibly point to has negative connotations. Faith really is a magic serum.

In the last 15 years we would have made it twice… we haven’t been this dominate program that y'all think. Running a coach off after 3 years isn’t going to help.
We need stability at the point. We don’t need a 4th head coach in 8 years. We have an amazing staff in place that can recruit hell out of LA. As much as I don’t like Sloans play calling this season a change there and we are looking at 5 play callers in 6 years.
Variability leads to inefficiencies. Sloan gets another season calling plays if I’m BK. BK has two - three season minimum at LSU whether you like it or not.

Hurley was a high potential kid that was ranked highly based on that. As he kept playing, the shine wore off because he had serious accuracy issues. He's not a big threat to run (I think BK needs dual threat).
Does a 6'0" QB with a big arm and accuracy issues that doesn't run sound famililar?
