I agree def a must get but put him at CB or WR

For one it shows he is one of the most athletic players in the state that produces the most professional athletes per capita do I'd say it prolly does

Have you watched him play? He will not be a QB at the next level. Ask him and he will tell you that, I'm pretty sure.
I expect him to be a DB. Outside chance he is a WR.
If he is recruited somewhere as a QB, they will have some work to do with him on his throwing motion and tendency to throw off platform even when not hurried. He will also need to learn not to swing the ball out from his body so much when running.
But he is a great athlete, one of the best to play at LCA.

Look up Jontre Kirklin’s stats at Lutcher then get back to me on that…

Lutcher QB D’Wanye Winfield had 70 TDs this year. I saw Robin Fambrough tweeting about him & Mr Football.
I’m hopeful it’s Tackett Curtis

He actually reminds me a lot of Kirklin

There definitely is such a thing

That’s great but the Q will change to C if he’s wearing Purple & Gold.

A single individual as a "must get"? Nope. Does not exist.

Many said Harold Perkins was a must get. He was.

You can use hindsight to say any player was a must get after the fact. A ton of people said Sopsher was a must get too. Sticking with the Tangy theme, people said Devonte Lee and Trey Palmer were must gets as well. I think we would have been fine without landing them.
I don't think anyone can say that a high school junior is going to have a Harold Perkins type impact in the 2024 LSU season. Maybe he does. But to say it today is a total guess.
I'm not going to say it's a crap shoot, but there's really no determining who the impact players are going to be before they get to campus. We've had 5* players take years to see the field. To say any player is a must get is just hyperbole.

LCA HC Trev Faulk resigned and is taking a job at LSU
will be interesting to see who gets the LCA job and what happens with Johnson's recruiting
honestly playing Johnson at CB in CFB would be a mistake, he has a natural running ability that should be used as a KR and WR

Was Jontre Kirkland not athletic enough to play db?

He did play db some. I thought he was pretty good at it as well
