Obviously Burch would a huge get for LSU. I want to believe he will pick us. I just think he stays home. No other reason than a feeling. But I have been wrong before. So here's to hoping I am wrong again

he's not having a commitment ceremony, its a signing ceremony. All the Hammond Football Players are signing at this date and time. It's not just Burch.

Lol what? Is he going to put the hats out and everything and pick South Carolina again?

"I'd like to thank God and my family. And now that I'm committed to South Carolina I'd like to take this opportunity to announce that I'll be taking my talents to...South Carolina."

It isn't that uncommon for kids to sign with an out of state program at their high school signing ceremony. I don't know why people are thinking this means he is for sure signing with USC.

On another website, someone made the point that it would be unlikely for him to announce LSU at his school, when he has always wanted to sign with his friends who are also going to USCe. I think that's a great point, and I predict he will stick with USCe with us ending a close second. That's my gut feeling.

They cheered like crazy when he picked SC last time.

I mean...they were there to watch him pick a school; they'd have cheered regardless. Also, the amount of applause is not a good barometer for where someone will choose to go to school.

Something tells me you didn't watch the video of his announcement. That wasn't just applause for his selection. It was a resounding, enthusiastic applause because he was staying home.

Hammond School is less than 15 minutes for USCe. The stadium is even closer.

This is the equivalent of a kid at Catholic High School, that is a Top 10 recruit in the country, choosing LSU in front of a packed CHS gym.

They went nuts because he choose USCe.

IMO, I can't see him sitting in front of them and flipping. Sign with LSU behind the scenes? Yes. But not in front of his school after saying he was going to SC a month ago to their cheers.

Again, I hope I am wrong.

Well why would he even be announcing USCe publically again? He already did?

I lived in Columbia,SC for a while and the Gamecock following isn’t like it is in LA with LSU(especially with Clemson as good as they’ve been and the Georgia Bulldogs being fairly close, NC and Tenn). I’m not saying they don’t have a ton of local fans, but I met fans of so many different schools it was crazy. We’ve also seen kids from out of state commit to LSU and the students go crazy for their classmate. I’m not saying what your thinking is wrong, but I wouldn’t shut out all hope.

Why have another one though? That wouldn't make any sense either.

If/when Burch goes to USCe, this board will do the usual "we don't want guys who play games, they're always busts" shtick.

If/when he comes to LSU, all will be right in the world.
