McMillan is not the truth. He’s not even a lie.

Ehh I don't think that's true. OSU fans who were honest with themselves knew one was on his way out, and Haskins' ceiling is probably higher than Burrow's. He looked good in spring games, but plenty of guys have done that.

I'm not pissed he's gone, i wish him all the best

For you....but other OSU fans on multiple boards clearly feel differently than you. Not everyone of course.

he was no third string. He won backup last year and broke a finger on his throwing hand. Many OSU fans felt if he woud have started last year over JT Barrett OSU would have been in the playoffs. He is for real.

not only that, he is the son of a coach. His dad coaches at OU.

That Immediately would make LSU a better team. He could start day one for us. As long as he can develop chemistry with the wideouts, it'll be a real good year.

Look, if you got Burrow and he turned out to be really good, then he's here a year and goes pro. I know he has two years of eligibility but the odds are he won't use both of them. We have kids with eligibility left who go out as undrafted free agents, for crying out loud. There is no reason to think Burrow would stick around for two years.

Lol, no. Burrow would not leave after one year. For starters, the guy has a total of 39 passes in his college career. Outside of Mitch Trubisky (who had 150+ plays his two previous years), and a freak talent like Cam Newton, no QB leaves after one year of playing. Unless you expect him to have a heisman season, you're crazy.

Best part about this situation with Burrow, is that he's been coached for over two years by competent QB coaches, and has been operating in a spread offense all that time. He should be able to adapt pretty quickly for what they want him to do here.

O pulls this off and he will tamp down a lot of his critics this year, at least for a while.

No doubt

He shouldn't.

He's not big or strong enough yet. He needs another year. This guy gives him that.

If we get this guy someone's transferring more likely than not, probably Brennan.

He's not going to sit two more years behind someone else just to have one year in an Orgeron offense.

I think Brennan would be the first to go. Narcisse, I could see staying. McMillan.......if he makes enough noise in fall camp, he might try a smaller school to get on the field.

Hopefully all of them would stay, but if Burrow comes and takes over, I could live with just Brennan leaving.

You want me to ban bet on something I said would happen more likely than not?

51% chance is more likely than not. I'm not saying a sure thing.

After reading up on him, I'm now overly excited about potentially landing Burrow and, if so, our much higher ceiling for this upcoming season. This will be a hard fall for me.

I hope we get him. Also, funny to think we had a legit shot at getting Haskins towards the end of his recruitment. Pretty sure Cam screwed that up by trying to flip Franks back.

Burrows looks really good to me. I like Brennan but it's worth the risk of him transferring as long as we can land another QB commit to go along with Burrows.

He's already somewhat polished

Besides, Kevin Toliver and Toby Weathersby just went pro. By now if you're not assuming any halfway decent starter at LSU who's a junior is going pro then you are not paying attention.

I don't think I'd compare Burrow's situation to some knucklehead that doesn't want to go to class or needs some quick cash. Besides, if he wanted to test the NFL waters based on what you are telling me the NFL thinks of him, he could have declared this year.

Unfortunately it's a risk that I think we may need to take due to our thin QB depth and the fact that none of the 3 QBs currently on scholarship grabbed the lead this spring.

Pros:
Burrow may be more polished/have more familiarity and a higher ceiling in a spread offense having spent the past 2 seasons at Ohio State.

Cons:
One (or more) of our current QBs could transfer should Burrow come in and win the job, meaning our shallow depth gets no better and maybe worse. Also he was the #8 ranked dual-threat QB in high school his senior year and our #1 target right now is the #3 pocket passer in Gunnell. Would this complicate recruiting going foward as well?
