Interesting ...
14-0 Productions on Twitter reporting it

Are there any top prospects coming down the line for NC?

Considering I've never heard of this school in the LA landscape of football going to guess he was asked to leave Many for some reason.

Quick look up of Natchitoches-Central on maxpreps shows me 1 winning season the last decade...yikes

Natchitoches Central High School will announce this afternoon that Jess Curtis, who has led Many High School to three small school state championships in the last nine seasons and three more state runner-up finishes, is the Chiefs’ football coach.

It's a 5A school and he would be the only game in town, but definitely doesn't have the advantages that he had in Many. Something doesn't sound right.

I get wanting to move up to a bigger school but one of the most successful smaller school coaches best job he could find is a 5A school that has done nothing but lose all the time? I would bet a lot of 5A schools would be willing to hire him outside of Natchitoches-Central

Something definitely going on there.

90's - Early 2000's Nachitoches was a pretty solid program. Tough, big, and usually a playoff team. They got on the coaching carousal and it really crashed the program.

They've slung a lot of shite at LSU over the tacky curtains thing.

Hopefully he got "aligned".

Natchitoches has the athletes to be a powerhouse. The problem has always been the junior high systems and buy in. If he can get the buy in, the talent will be there.

Well, it's close enough to Many that he wouldn't have to move to take that job. Fishing someone else's brush piles can get a man shot in that part of the country though so moving may not be a bad idea

Natchitoches Central had a strong program in the 90s.

They are right under the nose of Northwestern State and should have some decent kids there. If they start to win and can pull kids from the outlying towns onto their team they can put together some good squads.

Legitimately, it is hilarious and even kind of sad to me how loyal people are to fricking high schools and high school coaches on top of that

I’m not saying they are a powerhouse but people from Louisiana saying they’ve “never heard” of Natchitoches-Central says far more about their ignorance of their own state than the school lol.

It’s a 5A school lol
