Hopefully he won’t follow his Rummel predecessor and stays away from the ganja when he gets here.

They can at least act like they want to win, why have to make it hard?

We didn’t pass when we had Odell and Jarvis. We will never see that much talent at the two WR spots.

I’m told from my Rummel source that Mashall was one of the main factors in him leaning LSU. They’ve really bonded

That and he realized he has some homesickness when he’s left town recently

Umm Mett threw for over 3000 yards that season.

That sounds great and all, but if Ensminger is the OC I'm just not sure about the direction of the program anymore. LSU's got all this talent locked up at WR, and if you are gonna make this guy the OC and go back to pounding the ball more than passing it, I just think a lot of people are gonna be upset. But great get LSU if true.

Things weren't looking good not so long ago, but I'm hearing that he's almost a done deal to be wearing the P&G now. His dad was always pro-LSU and he won out.
Book it!

Hope so but the way things are going around here, I’ll wait until he commits and the papers are sent in.

Yes we did.

Mettenberger is just the third player in LSU history to pass for 3,000 yards in a season in 2013 with 3,082 yards … Is the only player in LSU history to have back-to-back seasons of 2,500 yards or more (threw for 2,609 yards in 2012) …

As a matter of fact:

Behind Mettenberger, LSU set the school record for total yards per game (453.3) and rushing touchdowns in a season (37) …

I would think that's a big deal coming after the reported OC hire.

I'll still wait for the ink to dry on this one though.

understood / appears that things are lining up for the staff. SW and another put in cb pick for Beal to UTen. Also, appears Keys to ND.

That's simply not true. In 2013, they both gained over a thousand yards receiving. If we have a QB who can get them the ball, LSU will pass it.

We only passed about 3% more in 2013 than our average. So the answer is not in 'we passed more' but mostly in completing more and some in YAC.

Side Note: one of the reasons I wish sacks would count as both incompletions and come off of passing yardage. Air raid offenses numbers become skewed if they give up too many sacks.

ETA: in a way, both are right. We didn't pass more, but OBJ and Landry played a huge part in making Mett better. It's a pass... takes two to make a stat.

That place really is pathetic. To get this class dispite all this negativity is pretty darn remarkable IMO, and says a lot about how liked this coach is by the players.

JaMarr would be a great pick up and these are the type of player LSU needs at WR. Smart WRs who know what route running and concepts can do for you. He also has tons of natuaral physical talent on top of the smarts to play the position. This is what separates what we have now and what we are recruiting.

Well, if it’s true then he does want to come. Maybe, just maybe, all of you negative posters aren’t as knowledgeable as you think you are! Why make it so negative? How about being positive and helpful towards the program you claim to love. Would you rather be “right” than LSU do well? If so, that’s really sad and incredibly SELFISH!!
