The future defensive backfield is potentially(in a few years and a couple championships) all nfl first rounders. Opposing teams offense would effectively be shut down. Clifton Garrett along with others would shut the run game down. "The Untouchables"! (As in untouchdownables)

I 2nd the motion that LSU was never an option for Hootie as bullshite. I firmly believet that Hootie would come to LSU if LSU coaches still wanted him. Until I see tangible proof I ain't buying it.
I can only guess but I can only figure that something happened to put a damper on the Hootie/bama relationship. Not sure which side cooled but evidence points to Hootie cooling and not bama.
And now that that has happened LSU has moved on. Hootie would be to many safeties which solidifies the Jamal Adams to LSU senerio.
Ole Miss and Ohio State were the 3rd and 4th choices. Ole Miss sells family atmosphere to its recruits and is a hell of a lot closer than Ohio.
The notion that LSU was never in it is rediculous.
