Anybody else wondering if Brewster is worth the hype? His highlights look solid, but nothing that screams #1 overall. Seems like more of an athletic projection.

LSU has far too often been in the running for so many top DL recruits (committed or signed elsewhere) that never reached that Dorsey level of impact we were all envisioning. Freak Johnson, Korey Foreman, Marvin Wilson, Robert Nkemdiche, Tyler Shelvin, Markaviest "Big Kat" Bryant, Maason Smith, Dom Mckinley, Rashard Lawrence, etc...all underwhelmed compared to their 5 star projections.

Now, this past class of Geralds, Anderson, and Brown are all reportedly showing early promise as DL difference makers. I just have reservations about Brewster realizing his potential, especially if the freshman produce like we expect and keep Brewster with 2d/3rd team reps while commanding a starter price.

If that's the case, why wouldn't he just transfer to a school in Louisiana like U-High if he's going to attend LSU? Buford, GA is quite the distance from TX and a student not living in the Buford, GA diatrict still has to pay to attend school there.. I wonder if he's secretly looking at othrr schools, like Georgia.

I'm sure he'll keep his options open and I'd never count Kirby out for a top DL. Raola left AZ to come to Buford years ago and ended up flipping from UGA to Nebraska.

I think he chose Buford largely because it's the #1 ranked HS program in the country.

One thing maybe worth mentioning for Brewster's recruitment and LSU is that all the DTs on the roster can return next year. Big Rich and Deuce are looking really good as Freshmen. It's good for us, but I'm curious how it'll play in his decision. DTs do rotate a lot.

Buford won the high school national title last season, which we all.know is "mythical" since there is no true way to determine that.

Buford is in the top 10 nationally, but they're not #1.as of this time.

Here are the current 3 #1 ranked teams:

IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL): Top spot in the USA TODAY Super 25.
St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA): Top spot in the MaxPreps Top 25.
St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD): Top spot in the On3 National Composite.

He can’t enroll early from U-High.

Yes, someone will obviously take care of the city tax that's required to play there. Just $1,500-2,000.

Big expense is where are they staying and other expenses to be uprooted 1,000 miles from home. Looks like this is something Buford HS has a lot of experience with, but I've never seen this happen where school has already started at both schools.

Plus, there’s no high school NIL in Texas but there is in Georgia. It can only help LSU’s chances.
Wouldn't this allow Tech to start paying him "under the table" now?

Shreveport is about 2.5 hours from Cedar Hill, would've been a no-brainer to me. I heard he's not eligible to play for Buford.

Maybe so but do you want to take the chance and skip out on a guy like Brewster just because past players didn’t live up to the hype and Brewster ends up being a dominant force wherever else he went?

Where did you hear this? That would be an epic waste to move all the way out there to not play and just to graduate early.

Final decision coming soon for him (between LSU and TTU)

It’s 2026, and some of y’all still haven’t figured out that there’s no such thing as a “final decision” until they sign in December. And even that isn’t “final.”
