BREAKING: Texas A&M TE Jake Johnson plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.
He was the No. 2 TE in the class of 2022.
So much for that 2022 aTm class being the best ever

I'd assume he'll follow Max to UNC

Might not. Max has 1 year left and this would be Jake's 1 free transfer.
Unless he sees himself finishing his eligibility out at UNC without Max, he might look elsewhere.

How good of a chance does Max have to start at UNC?

I think Max has 2 years left. He played for LSU as a FR in 2020 (Covid year), he played in 2021 for LSU, for Aggie only 3 games in 2022 (He gets to Redshirt), so 2023 was actually his 2nd year of eligibility even though 4th year at a University.

Said this is another thread. TE is one position we need zero transfers. We are STACKED, and the way we’re recruiting that position, we are gooooood.
I’m most excited to see Pimpton do big things next year, get Mac more involved and then unleash Green. These guys are physical freaks and mismatches all over.

It really is great lol. Even on texags they’re coming to grips with the reality that those kids just got paid and don’t give a shite about atm
They turn on their own more quickly than we do. It’s very impressive for a school that looks down their noses at everyone else bc they’re “so classy”

So you spent 26 million to sign the greatest recruiting class ever. Pay a coach 76 million to leave only to hire his defensive coordinator then you lose the recruiting class.

Max has 2 years left, Jake has 3.
Max's 2020 doesnt count, he played in 2021 (>4 games), but redshirted in 2022 (4 games or less). So he's only "played" 2 of his 4 years meaning he has 2 years left of playing.
Jake played in just 4 games in 2022 and all this year, so he has 3 years left of playing himself.
