How is their father still employed at LSU?

“Although it was my third time up there, I always learn something new each visit,” Ausberry said. Auburn, Michigan, LSU and Texas A&M are also in the mix. “I really enjoyed getting around the entire staff and getting to know other recruits. They have four coaches on the staff who have either previously played or coached linebacker or is currently coaching linebacker and the academics combined with football is just different. I think if I was to go there I would fit in really well on and off the field. They are in a real good spot with me.”

Are you asking because you think he should be fired for what happened with Davis or because you think he should be punitively fired because he's not forcing his kids to play football at LSU?

Because when you ask in a thread like this, it definitely seems like the latter. And that makes you a piece of shite.

Would be another blow to Kelly’s reputation as a recruiter.. you can’t even argue that. This kid is a must get in state prospect and he’s predicted to go to the school he just left

He's lived on campus his entire life so he could just want out of Louisiana. His brother just did last year.

I mean, the guy is a total piece of shite AND he can’t get his talented sons to play football at LSU.

There’s gotta be another middling ex-football player who can do whatever it is he does.

Kids today have no loyalty. He’s been on LSU’s campus his whole life. In some respects you would think that would burn a desire to rep LSU in his blood. Clearly this isn’t the case.

LSU has done a lot for Verge. A LOT. As a fan and an alumn my feeling is that the kids should rep the family brand. Clearly that isn’t the case.

As much as I hate to say it, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of interest on staying home. If he likes ND, let him go there. We will likely never face him. Similar to Kenny Young or Jerry Tillery.

Focus on Tackett Curtis

Saying he can't get them to play at LSU assumes he's trying to push them to go to LSU.

there are ZERO absolutes in recruiting

there is no such thing. remember the DT that was a "must get", even at a position of need, that the head coach was supposedly a "specialist" at coaching? yeah the kid that went to bama, then to USC....then went to....

you seem like you just don't have the emotional maturity to handle recruiting.

We've seen for years U-High kids go out of state, this shouldnt be shocking (in the sense of kids continually looking to go elsewhere). Having a high school on campus has been a continual struggle through different coaches now to get these kids to LSU. Roy is the only one recently I believe we got and that was a struggle and a fight to get him to stay.

It shouldnt surprise people kids want to do something different than live the life they've already been living basically for years. For many college is about doing something different or new to them. Nothing is over with Jaiden by any means right now so this isn't some concession but it always surprises me when people see U-High kids wanting to go elsewhere and it somehow surprises them.

Kind of surprising. I was hearing LSU and Bama were his leaders before this.

agreed

my thing for guys in this thread all pissed off.....I mean did you never want to go expierence anything new? did you not want your kids to get expierences you may have or didnt have?

I am about as die hard LSU as they come, but if my kid grew up in baton rouge, went to school on campus and he came to me saying he wanted to expierence something new.....yea i would absolutely support him in that.

now would we discuss things like...if you plan to live in LA after college, LSU may be a better choice for you from a networking standpoint....but dont act like ND isnt a good school.

its funny in these threads, you have the guys who never went off to college or really been anywheres screaming.....how could he do this or fire his dad? only a retard thinks like this. Louisiana doesnt own the kid.

we spend all day on the OT talking about what a shithole the state is, how nobody should stay here after college, how dangerous BR/Nola is and how because of crime, everyone should leave etc......then turn around and get pissed when someone wants to leave and get away.

Never change td, never change.

We have no shot with Tackett. Marcus Freeman is killing it in recruiting. I don’t give a damn how early it is. He’s going to change the narrative up there. Just watch.
