We are getting the majority of our top Targets but there are still a few guys leaving the state you’d like to stay home.

Many different reasons why, but mostly just because BK is still cleaning up relations that ED O left. Next year will be even better.

Recruit the Boot

ON3 LA Recruits.

I think in the age of social media and NIL it’s going to be much more difficult to completely lock down the state. I wouldn’t look too deep into it. Obviously we have an advantage in state but it’s not as easy as it used to be to lock it down.

I don't think 1 kid is leaving due to soured relationships. Arch was never coming. Holstein was never coming due to walker. A going to Texas for nil $$, Tackett going to usc and Riley and Kelly have recruited same amount of time (claim prior staff stuff but excuse is void when Riley recruiting just as new as kelly). Notre dame lb going oos like his brother, kids grew up at lsu and want something different.

Derek Williams is really the only one I’m
Bummed about losing. Maybe ausberry as well because we could use depth at LB but all of the guys taking off were never coming here.

Losing out on the Tackett Curtis family from their behavior on this board appears to be addition by subtraction for the state of Louisiana.

There’s so much talent in this state …that it’s going to be hard to keep them all …we’re becoming like Texas and Florida

If you look at Denver Harris’ recruitment specifically, you can get an idea that he was coasting during the last portion of his coaching career

Nah frick all that. We have the money and relationships now to potentially lock down anyone in state

I think Texas was still in Williams ear and just offered a boat load of money. We should stay in contact next portal cycle

I don’t think 3 Of those guys were ever coming here.

Manning no
Holstein didn’t want to be behind Walker again. Going to a pretty empty Bama QB room.
And Ausbery was never coming here.
Both of them seemed to just want to get away (but also frick average)

The DBs leaving sucks.

We don't have as much money as some schools and that's a fact.

I agree. Orgeron had plenty of faults, but he did a good job with Louisiana kids for the most part. I read how hard he worked to maintain good relationships with HS coaches. There was one story where he'd reach out to coaches at schools that never even put out SEC guys.

I don't think he got lazy at the end. I think he was just in over his head, and everything in the program suffered because of it.

I don't see how this has anything to do with my post. Or did you just reply to me because it was the last post in the thread?

I don't know if Tackett Curtis is any good, but I'm pretty sure a Many La kid isn't going to last long in Los Angeles CA....so if we still have a LB need next year, he might be someone to keep an eye on in the portal.

He didn’t manage relationships well and certainly pissed off quite a few programs in and out of state.

There's always going to be some kids that want to get as far away from home as possible no matter what. How many of you wanted to stay home after high school?

After all his coach and others have done, Tackett Curtis is perceived to have burned ALL bridges with LSU.
Good luck elsewhere.
