Is it fair to say that the Bama game next week might be the most important for Kelly

When it comes to recruiting in his entire LSU career? If he wins , the domino affect could be incredible.

To get two in a row on bama in years 1 and 2 would be nothing short of ginormous for recruiting and brand.

Every game should be the most important- isn’t that why he’s stated he came here?

Nah. Two in a row over Bama for the first time since 2010-11 would be a big deal and would definitely be part of a strong sales pitch showing that LSU is already proving it will be able to compete at an elite level.

That said, it’s just one building block out of many. And competing for and winning SEC and National Titles down the line will far outshine any regular season win over Bama.

I think if we make it to Atlanta two years in a row that will help sway a lot of unsure flip candidates. It would help a lot in recruiting. Recruits want to play for teams that play for championships.

The UGA game last year was for a SEC Championship. Not sure how next week is more important.

Every game is important but we all know LSU and Bama always lock in for this game. It is a big game.

NIL changed much of this, unfortunately

Recruits want to be paid 1st & foremost

There really wasn't much of a chance of last year's roster beating last year's Georgia. There is a very good chance of winning Saturday.

most important for Kelly: NO

potentially biggest impact for LSU and recruiting going forward: ABSOLUTELY, if he can beat Bama 2/2 times he can continue to keep Bama at arm's length out of LA and then he would just have to work on Texas schools and UGA.

I agree. I just think the OP is going overboard. If you win this game, it helps some right now and for another season. Two in a row over Saban is pretty rare, so there’s definitely something to sell recruits with that.

If you lose a close one on the road, it doesn’t hurt you at all in the long-term. That’s why this game really won’t be the most important in Kelly’s career here.
