Your points are valid and maybe finding that financial security for him and his mom is what's truly important to him. I don't know the guy so I've never talked to him personally and maybe I had the wrong impression (just like the majority of other posters did as well). Personally, I hope you're right about his intentions regardless of where he ultimately signs. I'm just not sure we will ever really know.

Please, don't come with that. People started changing their mind when they found out he was visiting LSU and LSU has a shot at landing him. His mother's comments about him came out after they had already flipped their positions.
I'll wait and see what is said by the majority of posters after he signs elsewhere.

Man, you make the same mistake that many do: read posts from a handful of people who drop their opinions into multiple threads and then draw conclusions about "LSU fans" or "The Rant."
I know of no reason to think that those posts generally represent the opinions of the people who are on this board.
Similarly, there is no reason to believe that such opinions are representative of LSU fans in general. In fact, some of the stupid crap I see on here is written by people who may not be LSU fans at all.

We're getting alot of these quote unquote LSU fans coming here to troll and instigate, seemingly trying to get people to bash the kid.
It's almost like you're really a Gator or A&M fan, trying to start shite because you see the signs pointing to Perkins and Matthews coming to LSU. Sad really.

I didn't like his poly bowl interview at all... couldn't stomach it. However when Momma speaks on how he handled his business at home.... I freaking love it good for them. I hope he takes full advantage of his opportunities wherever he decides to go. I hope he sees all the love LSU fans have for the players in the nfl and that is hard to miss right now.

Sorry to disappoint, but I am a LSU fan believe it or not. I just have an opinion based upon what I saw and heard him say and just because he is now considering LSU (maybe), I didn't change my mind about him. At the time, all he seemed concerned about was which schools were going to take care of their players and which weren't. LSU was an afterthought and now he really wants LSU? I just don't get it. Sorry you can't handle people having different opinions than you do. Life must be really hard for you.
Watch this again and tell me I shouldn't have the opinion that I do. Jump to the 1:30 mark and then stay on through 3:30.

I think the new staff made an impression that the previous staff failed to make. Sure, some negotiating may have taken place, but Perk and his mom feel much more comfortable now than they did before.
