I'm going to make a bold prediction: this recruiting class will get Jimbo fired when the investors don't get the return they are expecting on their investment.

I just can't see paying a KID a half a million dollars and that kid may never play a down, leave and go to a rival for more money or become a cancer in the locker room.

Players will make more than coaches and they will let it be known and this will cause issues.

There is no way A&M can keep all of these players happy and there will be too many I's and Me's. Players will jump ship

We will pick Mathews up next year for half the price once he realizes what a shite show A&M is.

$893,000 each for kids who never played a down of college football, all the while telling the other kids on the team who have put two or three or more years of blood sweat and tears into the program tough shite, you ain't eating at that table. Cancer is the right description.

Agree with everything except this being a bold prediction. I fully expect this to happen. I look for a mass exodus to occur next year. Kids can't keep their mouths shut about something like that. Word will get out what Joe is making and John will wonder why he isn't as valued etc. It will become more about playing for more money than it will be for the team. That locker room will be cancerous. Just sit back and watch.

Been saying this. He has a three year window to at least win the SEC. If he doesn’t do it after all this money was spent, the A&M boosters will replace him with someone else they think can do better. I don’t think Jimbo can do it.

He certainly has increased the stress level on himself by signing this class. But that is the name of the game. Sign the best recruit you can no matter how. So now all he hast to do is win a national championship.

At some point, the NCAA will step in. I wouldn’t be surprised if it were this coming cycle. There has to be parameters, some type of limits. It’s like having no salary cap in professional sports, competitive balance will be absolutely destroyed.

Surely you idiots don’t really believe the figures are anywhere close to this?

Perhaps you’re all dumber than I thought. Even the $450,000 is complete bullshite.

The USSC ruled the NCAA cannot limit the players from profiting from their NIL.

Have fun restricting it.

Rodgers/Mahomes income from State Farm doesn't count against the cap.

How about the ones who think that since they are getting money they don't have to do the class work. Try to bribe a professor or pay someone to take a test, it is going to happen.

Jimbo got a fat contract and delivered nothing in 6 years. Now they are buying him players, where is his value?

How about having all this talent and Max Johnson is your QB. Now that’s going to work out really good for them.

Boosters are going to get tired of paying players for nothing in return. This model is not sustainable. The boosters are still paying coaches salaries and donating to TAF for facilities. Giving these players obscene money to just show up will not last. The top guys will always get something more but the vast majority will not.

They won’t decide to leave that money. Only get a portion every year they’re on the team. So the non starters will be the ones transferring out for way less money.

What makes you think they're not paying the kids that have been there two or three years already.? Now maybe a kid who's three deep on the depth chart and has been there 3 years might become affected that he isn't making any coin.

That’s not a bold prediction. It’s a fact that this will happen. The funniest part of Jacobys decision was he thinks he could get developed there. Really? That’s what you’re hanging your hat. Those slapdick coaches aren’t going to develop you. You’re fricked in that department.
