Pain?
Really?

like hootie said, bama showed him they wanted him more.
honestly sounds like a cop out. he wanted to go to bama with his boys. that was a weak excuse.
also LSU doesn't break any recruiting rules no matter what. not now. they showed enough interest. they just had a fricking in house visit and everything.. this excuse is utter BS.
i still don't see how bama isn't catching more flack for the "loan" to a current player

And you bought that? No LSU fan with any perspective believes that. It's deflection to try and keep it from looking like he turned his back on us. So the team that worked the hardest got him? So if William & Mary had pitched a tent in his backyard he'd of went there cause they worked the hardest? Come on man. He picked the Tide because he thinks it'll profit him better in the long run. No problem. But being faced with Tiger fans looking for answers it's easier to deflect it back on somebody else.

I went to school in Baton Rouge growing up in the 90's. You'd be surprised to see how many yearbook pictures of kids wearing Notre Dame, Miami and Florida State gear.
Yep. Two teenagers from the same area chose to go to a school that has been historically successful. I don't get how that means NELA is now BAMA country.

What the hell do these recruits owe anonymous strangers on the Internet when they make the most monumental decisions of their lives?

Yes really. If you're a fan it hurts or you're not really a fan.

Notre Dame,
Might have the most supporters outside if LSU in this state. They brought a good amount to Nola. I recall seeing all the nd flags flying from peeps houses on my way to the game.

This is no different than kids who graduate and move to another state to start their careers... kids statewide are moving out of this state for whatever reason....you gonna bash them and f bomb them too

Do you have more than a two word vocabulary? Look at any fan board after a team loss and tell me they ain't in pain. Go to SEC board and tell me how happy Bama fans are today.

LSU and Bama have both gotten a ton of top talent over the years.
What has LSU done with the talent?
What has Bama done with the talent?
That is why top Louisiana talent is going to Bama. Players know they will play for titles at Bama. If you come to LSU, our title is "maybe we upset Bama this year"
Sucks. . .but it's true

would hurt a lot less if it weren't Bama who obviously is our number #1 obstacle to a championship.

We lost a coach a player and a few schollies. They lose their coach and the player sits for their 2 easiest games. Yeah NCAA is a fraking joke.

Well maybe not today. They're happier today since they got Hootie.

Yeah, some just want to get out of the state. I'm a perfect example. I left 12 years ago and haven't looked back. That's why I'm not having as hard of a time accepting this as people that have been in LA their whole lives. Some of these kids can't be reached by the LSU staff no matter how hard they're recruited.

I agree with VicWayne, I grew up in Bastrop, lived in Monroe 5 years, went back to Bastrop for 20 more years and we were all LSU,everybody. Some people due to cost and proximity went to Tech or Northeast for college, but were LSU to the bone for football. We recruited Reuban Randle and Josh Downs to LSU, knew their mothers, recruited them. Sent others to LSU ,IT has to be all Saban as a reason these current recruits go to Bama, the people are all LSU as fans. Arkansas was more of a threat than Bama, until Saban got there. It's Saban. He needs to go to Texas or back to the pros.

Bro, I don't get it either. Am from NW LA and given the opportunity, can't imagine picking any other school than LSU.

This is it. Don't try to understand.
Some people like to vote for the front runner just to say they voted for the winner. Don't try to understand.
So they have no loyalty to LSU.
Alabama is the "in" school right now and they want to play there.
It's not very hard to understand.

We're not talking apples and oranges here. It's definitely different if your a 5 star who can make a difference for a state's pride in their team. By your analogy if Drew Brees left it would have as much effect as let's say, John Brown, leaving the state.
