RN will not play DT no matter college he goes to..
I can see him at DE with the speed and agility he has...
I would guess that's where he would project in the NFL..

This whole scenario reminds me of Trent Richardson's recruitment. It's good that a lot of people are being positive but I just don't see it happening. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see him in purple and gold but if he isn't, it won't be the downfall of this recruiting class.

IMO it is as if he is trying to subtly let fans know that he will not play in a 3-4. I don't blame him he is just too big to play the jack and way too explosive to be a 5 tech.

The kids going to Bama. And no I don't have any sources or inside info.

It's what my inclination has been from the beginning.

I guess wishful thinking is the fun part of recruiting though.

I can't wait until Bamas summer workout when he immediately gets moved to 3-4 DE. The dude is never going to play on the outside. His talents are too great to be wasted playing out of position. He's not going to be an effective outside rusher. Period. He's too big and when he gets in a college weight program he will balloon with that frame he has. He'd be a monster, once in a generation DT in our system though. He'd be unstoppable.

He is going to bama? Every keeps saying that crap. And he very well might, but can anyone point to why he would do that other than his coach wants him there? Over and over again I hear "all the signs point to Alabama!" Can one of you please tell where I can see all these same signs? Seriously, show me those signs!

I can point to two. He just visited bama and wasn't at the LSU camp and his coach is pro bama.

OK that is two bama signs.

But I can point to LSU signs that are bigger and much more important. 1. His dad favors LSU. 2. He wants to play in our system not the Alabama system.

Some one please show me the other signs that point to bama. And don't point out the signs and try to rub my nose in it. I really want to know what the signs are.

His HS coach has a relationship with Bama's DB coach.

Got to overcome that.

Agreed and I mentioned that in my post. But is this really it. Is there not more? I just don't see his coach having more sway than his own family.

On top of that we have a video that proves from his own mouth that he understands the logical reasons why he fits better at LSU. Surely there has got to be more. Because if not then I will say he will surely be LSU bound, but I am betting there is something more that I don't know... anyone else have any "bama signs" to point out?

There are Coaches that were on LSU's Staff at that time that say Richardson was coming here but was bought. Remember what Saban said to the St Aug Coaches regarding Fournette also: " Money won't be the reason if he (Fournette) doesn't come to Bama."

Well, it's no secret. Bama takes recruiting to another level and the only way to do that, is cheat. It's really that simple. I mean, they did get slapped with the death penalty not too long ago. Do you think those boosters just disappeared? Their boosters think just because they're so successful on the field, they can print money to recruits as they please. Only a matter of time before they get slammed hard. I can't wait to see it personally.

I'm really trying to understand RN in that 2nd video.

He names his favorite player in the NFL at the 1:03 mark.

I assume it's Julius Peppers, but it sounds an awful like "Jim Pears."

Who is Jim Pears?

Except that TR was committed to Alabama for a long time

No comparison here. It should be noted that TR changed his commitment to LSU on signing day, and then Saban sent players to HS...."You have to honor your commitment to Coach Saban". and the rest is history.

I don't get where people just assume RN is all Alabama at the end of the day.

Why is that the "feeling"?

It doesn't come from anything other than his HS coach having some Bama ties.

He fits better in LSU's scheme. and he likes us

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

....... other than just not wanting to be "emotionally" involved....as to avoid disappointment if he chooses Bama, this doesn't make any sense.

Recruiting is a journey...

Every year, there is an interesting story line of some kind.

Last year it was LC and Keil...maybe this year it goes our way?

This class is looking really super thus far

If Saban is paying players to come to Alabama, then I would lose a lot of respect for the man.

He has always been a great recruiter...and with the Alabama brand name along with his perception as a coach, he is tearing it up...I don't think he has to cheat.

But with that, he is taking recruiting to another level...and it does make you wonder. There are so many great schools and great coaches...yet he is seemingly dominating the recruiting trail...that doesn't compute

Defensive Ends command some of the bigger contracts in the NFL. I keep wondering why people are talking about him wanting to play LB at Bama for NFL money reasons. Mario Edwards keeps food on the table... I would hammer that shite home if I were recruiting him.
