I may be starting too many threads... but for people saying Saban gets what he wants

He got ONE kid from Louisiana we offered.
He didn’t get Stingley, Thomas, Palmer, Emery... I know one is too many to like that Alabama got but this is a damn good class. We need to do better on DL.

Totally agree. It’s way not accurate that “he takes what he wants from Louisiana”. It’s just not true ... he usually gets 1 or 2 a year max.
That said, over a decade of doing that is an entire defense and is the difference between Bama being #1 and LSU being not #1.
It’s a long term raid of LA. Any single year or player is not a big deal at all, it’s the accumulation over a decade.

He’s going to snag a legitimate d-lineman from juco or transfer portal with that last scholly for sure. Between whoever that is, Ika, Soni and Evans not a bad haul at all.

We've got a lot of DL returning thankfully. O needs to get a few top DL's to sign early next year. You're correct, a great signing class.

I give orgeron a lot of credit for the December signing class. But from his own mouth we needed defensive lineman. He ended February with a 3-star JUCO linebacker as the closest thing to a defensive lineman. That’s an epic fail based off of his own announced needs.

Definitely not.
But damn, they have what feels like 20 highly rated DLs on scholarship and its a position of great need for us.
He had a much better chance of early and often PT at LSU and his boy Devonta Lee is coming to LSU. Crazy.

People do realize Lawrence and Fehoko are still here and buying us another year right?
Ika is ready to play this year. I think we have what we need right now to make a run. We will backfill in 2020. Did I want one of the other DL, yes. But, when someone finds stupid excuses to not be here, we should move on and support the ones who want to be here.

I agree. The DL class needed to be better. Ika was a fantastic pull. But to say he takes from LA what he wants is asinine now
