I know C. Williams it top target for 2021 at QB, but I REALLY like Garrett Nussmeier

He has impressed me each time I have watched him play. I am not an evaluater and also have not watch Williams play, but I would love to land Garret.

I’m still crying that we couldn’t land DJ for 2020

Either one would be great. Caleb is a program changer, though.

Nussmeier might be that too, he just had a huge junior season. 68% completion, 3625 yards and 36 TD passing to 8 INT.

Nussmeier can sling the ball all over the yard.

We need either Williams or Nussmeier. On one hand you have Williams ridiculous arm strength and mobility, and on the other hand Nussmeier has a hell of an arm too, but he also looks like a really accurate passer already.

This could very well be a situation where we take the one who commits first, cause I can't see both of them commiting to us.

No way to get both?

I’ve been on this bandwagon. I know Nussmier can go through progressions and complete accurate balls in all areas of the field...I’m not sure about Williams. His highlights are a lot of running and throwing outside the hashes.

Both are impressive. Right now Garrett seems more accurate but that can change next year. Williams probably has more upside... definitely more athletic. Can we have them both?

We plan to try our hardest to get both, but feels like a pipe dream.

Vol, any interesting developments on current Clemson commits/prospects with Clemson's OC leaving for USF?

Maybe just me but I feel Garrett has a lot of Burrow in him. Hey, it's not like Garrett can't run either.
I don't see the accuracy in Caleb as I see in Garrett "right now".

That's from both of their films.

Vol, any idea which type of QB the staff would prefer? Obviously Williams is ranked higher, but wasn't sure if they prefer a mobile QB.

Sucks, but to be expected with two guys like this. Is it first to commit? Or does the staff prefer one to the other?

Agree. His JR Year Highlights are very impressive. He can flat out sling it. And his dad has been a QB coach in college and the pros. You know he really knows the position.

I haven’t watched Nuss’s tape but in caleb’s he is mostly throwing deep bombs or running. Not many burrow-esque plays in there.
