We clearly should be able to compete.

I was angry/concerned w all the hate Lane got nationally. But It was a blessing in disguise because he hasn't stopped grinding and seems to be out for blood

Should we dare to hope that the offense will be better?

Oh I think it will be better but when players are in the system for more than a year and they start to really gel it could get ridiculously good

Also, as of now, the schedule is brutal again…
We have back-to-back road games against CFP teams early in the season. Then we get a 3rd CFP team at home. The we still have Tennessee and Auburn of the Road and Texas and Clemson at home for our “easy games.”
Even if the teams is very good, they can still EASILY lose 3.

It’s a new time in college football. Damn near every team has “a lot of new players” and some level of coaching turnover. No team spends what lsu is spending to wait a year. No excuses.

He’s already setting himself up for the next meltdown by assuming we will win it all in year 1 with Kiffin

Welcome aboard. But we do expect a significant contribution to the Joey Freshwater Foundation For Single Mothers.

Remember Kelly's first year? LSU was not on the same playing field as Georgia. Things aren't exactly the same, but that's a bit of a stretch. Should be in the playoff discussion well into the season though.
