Good players get drafted. Great players get picked in the first round. There's a difference. Not sure why you don't understand that. Moses is currently getting over-hyped because of the uniform he wears. We'll see how he performs this season, but he has been nothing particularly special thus far.

looks like we got the better end of the deal with Ika.

The difference is that polys can be fat as hell and still play balls to the wall. They are high-motor when on a rugby pitch or football field.

I predict Ish gets his wish that he and Rodney will finally get to play together after he transfers to southeastern in the offseason.

I think it’s more likely he ends up at southeastern than becoming great at bama. That would be some poetic justice.

I told you. He is fat and lazy. He will not be on bama's team eventually.

Very true. I often wonder, when considering prospects like him, how much of the hype is the experts not wanting to be wrong?

NFL scouts and college coaches are experts. Guys like Shea and Jimmy are not experts.

Guys like Shea and Jimmy are recruiting experts. NFL scouts are experts at projecting what CFB Juniors and Seniors or NFL starting, career back up or practice squad material.

From the Bama board and the new narrative about Captain Pile-On & And his low rent Pimp (His Daddy):

Ok, you know about Dylan Moses, the alpha dog in the whole linebacker group. He’s the coach on the field, calling the plays for the group and leading by example. He’s always been great but he’s ready to step it up a notch this season and become one of the legendary folks at this position. I wouldn’t trade Moses for any linebacker in the SEC to fill this spot, so you could say it’s as good as it gets.

But on the other side, with Mack Wilson gone there isn’t a clear number one and some folks don’t like it when there’s not a household name in a clear starting spot. But the fact that there isn’t a super clear number one in the other spot is because there’s so much talent there the battle may go on throughout fall camp.

However, the clear front runner is red shirt senior Joshua McMillan, who at 6’3” and 237 pounds is one of the bigger of the group with the muscle to stop the run. He knows the system as well as anyone on the team and he’s ready to show he can take on role and be a huge asset.

So of the folks predicted here to be the starters, three out of four are sure bet starters and set to have a big year ahead of them. That’s good, but hardly a embarrassment of riches. Well, these four may the top linebacker group in the SEC by season’s end, but what is great is that even with one linebacker going to tight end and one leaving in the transfer portal, Alabama still has 13, yes you read that right, 13 great athletes sitting on the bench and there is some great players in that group.

That means in theory, each starter has just over three men who could possibly back them up. So who are these backups?

I think what pisses many of us about sopsher is that saban knew as well as we did about sopsher's work ethic, and he wanted him just for the optics.

This is self-aggrandizing stupidity on stilts. Saban hardly thinks of LSU. He probably considered us his main competitor around 2010, but he has beaten us so often, and so soundly, since then that he has forgotten us for Georgia, and is now almost certainly focused on Clemson.

To suggest that Nick Saban is picking recruits in order to get one over on a team he has thoroughly humiliated for a decade is absurd. He is surely grabbing every player he thinks will help him compete with Clemson and hold off Georgia, while keeping one eye on Jimbo Fisher.

Ish had his day in the sun.

I was so happy we DIDN'T get him.

So long farewell, hope you love it in Bama...

This is completely false and Saban himself has already said it.
Only a moron wouldn’t recruit against their biggest competitors.

He’s going to say whatever he needs to the media to sound like he respects everybody. Let’s be honest though he doesn’t care nearly as much as LSU fans think he does. There’s no reason to care. He consistently out recruits LSU and has beat their arse on the field for the last 8 years
