You’re right RB, it doesn’t. But it sure makes a depressing point.

That’s not a lot TBH.

And again, compare that to LSU's numbers and get back to me.

We haven’t really been set up to do RB by committee since we had Fournette and Guice.

If I wanted to get early touches as a running back I'd choose UGA over LSU. This is not a difficult concept.

Pass the booze please kid. We literally have no proven backs on this roster nor none the caliber of Emery. So why go to Georgia when you are 100% going to be sitting behind Swift for another 2 years and that isn't bringing up any other back on their roster.

We have 3 4* players that could see action this year. By all means though, keep telling me how well LSU has done spreading touches among blacks during the last 2 seasons.

For a while, everyone was saying that Mississippi State was selling Emery as a workhorse RB, like Saquon Barkley and next thing you know, he goes to place to a RBBC.

I like how he mentions Georgia RBs, like our RBs the last 10 years were trash.

LSU RBs in the NFL since 2012: Ridley, Ware, Hill, Hilliard, Blue, Fournette and now Guice.

Georgia since 2012: Gurley, Marshall and now Chubb and Michel.

I mentioned each programs tendencies during the current staffs tenure. That is much more relevant than what happened 5 or 6 years ago, don't you think?

Emery mentioned it when he committed to Georgia.

Fournette and Guice were over the last 4 years and would been a huge part of any staff's offensive gameplan.

Emery here would be another in a long line of LSU RBs putting up 1,000+ yards per season.

Darrell Williams ran for 820 last year. I mean, sure get other RBs carries, but Canada ran the jet sweep a shitload with WRs last season.

Me either. Our 3rd guy gets carries in the first quarter and our 4th and 5th option can get carries in the 1st half of almost any game we play. If you would every watch UGA you would see the 1-2 backs start the first quarter and a half. Then we'll bring in the 3-4 backs for parts of the 2nd and 3rd quarter and then bring the 1-2 backs in half way through the 3rd quarter to keep them fresh and take over the game.

Emery, if he indeed signs with them, would be the third 5* RB. In addition to two 4* RBs.

2016 4* Holyfield, 162 player nationally
2017 5* Swift, 33
2018 5* White, 9
2018 4* Cook, 41
2019? 5* Emery, 31

I get the confidence of thinking you'll be the man and beat other players out, but he has maintained he wants to be THE guy. Won't to happen at UGA.

He might not even make the top 2 or 3. Holyfield has the experience in the program while Swift, White, and Cook were all equally (or higher) viewed players. Pretty tough to be even the #3 in that group, much less in the top 2.

But, long way to signing day. We'll see. I'd like Emery in the LSU class, but would be happy with Cain too. If we miss on both and have to go to plan C to go with Davis, then I'll worry.

So the 3rd and 4th backs get 4 carries a game?

Better than 1 per game like LSU's. If Emery wants to go somewhere that he's going to see early PT, the stats back up UGA under Kirby moreso than LSU under Orgeron.

Because I use factual evidence to come to a conclusion I can't be a LSU fan?

To be honest, this sounds about right.

Basketball classes are much smaller than football classes. I'm not surprised that UGA is recruiting well, but out recruiting Nick Saban in years 2 and 3 is pretty ridiculous. If the NCAA really wants to reduce the cheating, it should be interested. I don't think they really care unless there is something particularly embarrassing for the NCAA going on at a program.

Wow, you have a very short memory. Georgia hasn't won a championship in any of the major sports since when, 1980 when they won their last NC in football? Yeah, they are so much better than our Tigers. I wonder if many on this site knows what it means to be a fan. Screw all the losers constantly bitching about LSU. Geaux Tigers

What facts. Emery would have more of a chance at early playing time at Lsu. That is a fact.
