My theory and probably already posted by others earlier is this:
Saban rumors hit that he may be going to Texas which caused Hootie to have 2nd thoughts about if he was going to Bama for the right reasons. Sure, he wants to be coached by Saban but there is a decent chance that Saban will not be around in 4 years. Maybe he decided that a Sabanless Bama isn't as desirable as playing for his state and LSU with or without Miles.

not the same person, memphisplaya worked as an athletic trainer at LSU, memphis is 18 and just went off to college
Wrong, memphisplaya lied about being an athletic trainer working at LSU. He came clean about after he couldn't keep his stories straight.

when bama was sure to not win another nc this year, it lifted the spell on everyone. now they realize it is ok for someone else to win back to back ncs. then he was free to choose with his heart

Just a bad day for LSU and 100% because of Nazi compliance officers, not the coaches
So the compliance office was that big of a deal to these recruits? Asking bc this is the first I see of this incident. Can anyone expand on what exactly is the problem with this office? Is the office just being thorough in their work and these recruits just want to the "fun stuff" while on their visits and none of the part?

I used to work for the Cox Center as a tutor. I can confirm that the compliance office is so far up their asses they can probably see the glow-in-the-dark glue they were eating when they came up with their jank-arse rules as it trickles down into their stomach

This wasn't "fun stuff". This was basic humanity. When I heard the story, which was DURING the incident, I was pissed. Not just as an LSU fan, but as a human being. It's a good thing I wasn't there because I would've acted a fool.

Decommitted because he's not sure where he wants to go. LSU stayed on him, but contact today wa initiated by Hootie's camp.

I wonder if maybe he was starting to feel uncomfortable about Alabama in general.. and possibly wants to stay closer to home?

huh. thought it would be more intriguing than that
You got a link to the 'outed' thread? Gotta have something to do after LSU blows this game.

I heard that Miles went and talked to his mother after he read that they were displeased with the way LSU had handled his recruitment and after his conversation with her she has been all LSU
Heard something similar with cam Robinson as well. Bama treated better during visit. (From a west monroe coach)For example: Bama gave him front row parking and acknowledged him at the gate. During LSU visit, cam had to walk 20 blocks just to get to stadium. This is coming from a West Monroe coach.
That coach might be stretching the truth just a bit. One of the top recruits in the country and LSU made him walk 20 blocks?
LSU does not recruit well year after year doing stuff like this. I hope not.
