Worst of luck to him and his new team plus 1000x.

And quit with all the bullshite excuses just say the truth. Offer was better for me, and I really don't care about being from Louisiana anyway.

Then after u declare bankruptcy after your NFL career is over like what is it now 85% of NFL players now after five year, see what they are willing to do for u.

WOW! Talk about sore losers, with the emphasis on losers. He chose Alabama. It was not personal against you. It was what he thought was the best decision for himself.

It was not a vote against Louisiana. What if he had chosen Tulane? You shouldn't get mad at someone for choosing what they feel is best for them. I guarantee he feels going to Alabama is best for him. Why should that anger anyone? It is his life. Should he have left it up to you to make the decision for him?

I hate he chose Bama as well. But you have to have some class and be adult about it. Don't give the opposition fuel to use with future recruits on how LSU fans behave when a kid doesn't choose LSU.

I don't know - death threats seem to be working for Bama these days.

It's not a matter of insecurity genius. She said she was happy that Hootie chose a school that would take care of him the BEST!!! That statement is saying that she feels Bama will take care of him better than LSU. Is it really that hard to understand??

I don't care where Hootie or any other recruit goes. If they don't choose LSU then they are Tiger Bait and shunned . Decisions and choices come with consequences. Sorry that's life!

Me too.
Thing that gets me is the "take care of him" thing. CLM sticks by his players no matter what, even when roundly criticized for doing so (Jefferson, Hill...). Saban berates and blames and doesn't even talk to 95% of his team off the field. When he said "Griff kicks em 60 yards in practice," I visioned him asking an assistant before going out to speak what was 99's nickname.
Eta: not assuming my comment that he doesn't talk to players off the field, I know several that played here that told me this. A very select few are acknowledged by him.

becuse of social media.

Bama's presence on things like Twitter is 100X better then LSU's. we have a lot of ground to make up when it comes to social media.

I prefer gumps remain the top deluded fan base in America. At least LSU fans have their priorities straight for the most part, even though every school has its' whack jobs. Seriously, who really has a sad enough life to sit on twitter all day and care what 17-18 year old kids have to say? No offense, but thats absurd. Do not want.

I'm with you, man. I just don't get all these people who seem to be just fine with two of the best players in the state leaving LA for the hated Gumps. These kids who are shitting all over LSU, and will do everything in their power to hurt LSU. But, hey, they're good kids who just chose a different path. Let's all congratulate them and support them in their future endeavors.

I know. I guess it got RA'd?

I didn't post it to flame, I'm an LSU fan. I'm just showing what's floating around twitter.

I don't follow recruiting as much as y'all, but this sucks, big time. The talent gap was clear this year, and so far it seems to be widening, by Louisiana players!

We only offered two, as Sims wasn't offered. That's probably what started this whole thing.

And remember we didn't want hootie or crob anyway! We'll get a "few out of stators, so it all comes out in the wash anyway!"

We have such a great coaching staff, we don't have to sweat hitting the recruiting trail hard closing on top recruits like bama!

Exactly. If he wanted to be here he would have chose us. Right now we have to realize we are fighting "The Brand." Currently there are those in the young athletes that are simply following the popular Bama brand. That popularity comes from winning as does LSU's. Notice that we are only fighting this in NE LA and NO areas... Kids from the west side of LA are deciding between LSU and TX schools mostly and pretty much don't give a crap about Bama...

Why would I congratulate any alabama recruit? Why would I support any alabama recruit?

I respect Hootie's actions a hell of a lot more than CROB's actions. It appears that Hootie was torn and sided with the diatoms. CROB was outed as doing everything in his power to disrupt LSU.

Now both or gumps. I will treat them like a gumps should be treated. I am not wishing them harm or anything even close to that but I will not kiss their arse and high five them as if I am happy that they are happy with their choice.

The only reason New Orleans area is in play for Bama is Coach Burns...I promise you if Coach Burns goes, connections to New Orleans Area goes as well...
