quote:

“I don’t think nobody recruited me as hard as Alabama did,” Jones said. “They showed me a lot of attention that I was a top priority for them. Nobody recruited me harder than that. They never gave up. Anytime any school called, they called me the next hour. They were pushing harder than anybody.”

quote:

“It made me flip back and forth after I spoke with (Miles),” Jones said. “I just prayed about it all last night and this morning and the best decision was Alabama.”

LSU will be fine no worries

From what I have heard, this is the truth.

I dont believe it, sorry. They all give the same reason, 'LSU didnt try hard enough". Seems very very coincidental that this response continues to surface. Either LSU is really really dropping the ball or these guys are being coached what to say.

Too much smoke for no fire. Devall, Davis, Cam, Hootie, just in recent years off the top of my head. I think this may have been the last straw and it will start being corrected, but LSU certainly hasn't treated Nla with the same intensity that they have this area, and the results speak for themselves.

isn't there a limit to the number of times a coaching staff can call a recruit?

It's very believable when Stud has been handling the recruiting up North the past few years.

Agreed. And, I find it hard to believe that our coaches didn't know how close this would come down to, and didn't pay attention to the kid.

You should take Devall off the list. He wanted to play in a 3-4 defense.

once a week up until Nov 30th. Of course there's this whole "sent in his papers" thing, of which is only speculation anyway. No big deal though, Bama will just self-report a secondary and Emmert will handle it.

Something's wrong, thats for sure. Still, I have a hard time believing that Miles isnt getting constant updates on these guys. Or heck, the rest of the staff like Frank Wilson, you mean he "knows" we havent been handling business and he's ok with that? I know its not his area but I would think he would be pissed off as would Miles.

Maybe Im giving Miles too much cred here.

Why not? A while back when Leonard Fournette's dad was asked in an interview on who was recruiting Leonard the hardest, he said Alabama.

We are being outworked, plain and simple.

how does that happen? did hootie let bama know each time he spoke with another school? was there someone close to him that was in constant communication with bama?

it's fine, i ain't worried, but that's a really weird statement to make. maybe it's just an exaggeration.
