I only know OF her. They'd show her highlights when Dominique Dawes was doing her thing and again when Gabby Douglas did her thing.
With luck her daughter got some of those light as a feather genes.
And someone mentioned that Retton was only 4'9", of course. Not surprising. Too much height and length makes the flips more difficult.

Which is why I posted that her husband is very tall. At least 6-2. I suspect the daughter is taller than Mary Lou.

She was the first champion Bela Karoli(sp?) had over here in Ameria after defecting from the Ruskies. He got famous in gymnastics circles here and worldwide after MLR.
