Does hiring Bo hurt or help our chances with these two guys? I think it helps honestly because under Bo when we had him our d lines always stood out.

I’m pretty sure they knew before they came this weekend.

They already knew but I do think it helps.

Seems likely we go back to a 4-3 so it helps with recruiting DL in general.

I have to think that the 4-3 is a little more enticing to the big fellas

I will take a wild guess and say that he ain't a bend but don't break guy like Chavis was (3rd and Chavis was a well-earned name) or Aranda on occasion. I doubt he would ever play 5 in the box like Aranda did in the 2nd half of the Ole Miss game. Plumley starts running crazy, Pelini would put 10 in the box if he had to. IMO, DL and the defense in general love that. They don't want to be "defensive"...they want to take it to the offense. I'm not enthralled by Pelini as DC due to his flareups that were embarassing sometimes (Nebraska in particular as HC) but LSU did have good defenses obviously under him.

I’m pretty sure Coach O has an understanding with Bo about his antics and temper or else he wouldn’t be hiring him. One team and all that!! No denying he is an excellent coach/coordinator with better team stats than Aranda had!!

If his final meeting with O is any indication, Burch will be here... But we've all seen this movie play out before. Never a sure thing til it's over completely.

If Burch goes to USCe this weekend, he’s not coming here.
I don’t know what happened with McKinnley and how he had a bad OV. My guess is we told his camp to bounce after they asked for a handout

Thanks for the reply Vol. I hope you are right because I feel like we haven’t had a d line recruit this sought after in a while.
