You know, I'd argue Foster Moreau was a better TE. Great size and blocking ability. Plus, he caught essentially everything that was thrown to him. The problem was that until this year LSU just treated the TE position as a 3rd OT

Gilbert will take a little time to develop. It's a massive jump coming from HS where you are heads and shoulders (literally) bigger and much more athletic than your competition to SEC ball. Hopefully fans won't put absurd expectations on the kid from day one.

With what we did with Thad Moss, I can't wait to see how we utilize this kid. He is going to be a match up nightmare.

Moss is only getting drafted because of his last name... he’s slow as frick .. Moreau was definitely better than him

He is early enrollee so that shouldn't be an issue.
