Exactly... If he goes to ND more power to him. One of these days a kid will realize that the pass happy programs won't prepare them for the NFL like SEC defenses will.

Makes sense on the surface but how do you explain Brees, Rodgers, Brady, Roethlisberger, Rivers, Schaub, and Ryan, among others?

Because all of those guys have faced LSU guys on there pro team's defense in practice or the practice squad....

Brees, Rodgers, Brady, Schaub, and Ryan ran pro style offenses in college. Not positive on Big Ben and Rivers.

quite the inaccurate spin there...
rodgers regularly threw it over 30x a game in college.
brees changed the B1G with the purdue spread attack.
miami ran three and four wide the majority of the time while big ben was there; he threw it over 400x his senior year.
shuab threw for over 7000 yards in college and attempted more passes than anyone else in UVA school history (by over 300 pass attempts).

I'm not spinning. I replied to the poster that said pass happy offenses is what prepared the QBs listed. They weren't in pass happy offenses. I think he goes to ND btw due to proximity to home.

I'm not doubting the spread options are good for some QBs, but special QBs are just special. I'm just saying that most QBs in spread happy offenses are overrated and unprepared for college, of which ND has its share.
