I believe he was, until that last night before he committed. I believe, as he'd said all along, he wanted to play with his brother in college and he'd planed that they both commit to LSU that day. The evening before bama made him an offer he couldn't refuse, an offer more valuable than playing with his brother. Rodney committing to Oregon made him look like a fool. I mean, everyone in the entire world knew Oregon, like LSU, only offered him to get his brother. Ish will not play in college with his brother, not at bama. OMG I need to stop. Anyway, IDK what bama offered, but I believe you were correct, he was going to LSU, until that evening before.

You are right. Shea Dixon called that one last year mid season. He was being interviewed during the UGA pregame because for that day the LSU-UGA game was THE game of the TV week and a huge visitor list was present that day for which Shea was being quizzed about.

When asked about Sopsher he only said he was told by his mentors to "follow the visits" as a primary rule. On that day that most of the uncommitted recruiting world was in Tiger Stadium Ish Sopsher was at a Bama rent a win...

We had Isiah Buggs.
We had Phidarian Mathis.
We had Marvin Wilson.
We had Jaden Handy.
We had Nathan Pickering.
We had Byron Young.

Im jusf burnt on believing that Meatball can actually land top flight talent. I hope Rot and Guillory make it on campus.

I believe Clean and Rice. I’ve just seen us lose kids we thought were locks on the Dline several times.

And I commented in my post that same exact thing, that he was all bama after he shunned LSU to go to that game. But after it was apparent bama would not offer Rodney and LSU did, I think he started wavering on going to bama so he could play with his brother at LSU, just like he'd said so many times.
I don't use the 'money excuse' as to why LSU loses these players to bama, they lose these players because LSU has not beat bama since 2011. But something made Ish decide to look like a lying fool to the entire nation of recruiting and go to bama where he WOULD NOT be playing with his brother as he'd said he would all along. If it wasn't a lot of money, then it was something more valuable than playing college football with his own blood. That may not mean much to some people, but blood is a strong tie that binds some family together thick as thieves. And it takes a lot of persuasion to break that bind. A lot more than championships, IMO.

Yet there is more evidence that suggest bama does it a lot more than anybody else.
Nobody really knows for a fact what was going through that kids mind and nobody knows what was done behind closed doors, except him. All we can do is speculate, and that is ALL we are doing. I just find it peculiar he'd say so many times he was going to play college football where he could play with his brother and then he doesn't. The kid had to have known how that would be perceived by people. I'm just wondering what the price of a mans integrity is these days.
