Behind the Eyes: Frank Wilson

quote:

For Wilson, now with his third SEC program, there is no substitute for the hard work that is about to be laid down over the next month. “I go all four weeks,” said Wilson of the stretch that assistant coaches are allowed on the road. “I don’t come off at all. My first school visit usually happens at 7 [a.m.] and concludes at 6 [p.m.] with a football, baseball or track practice. When I get back to the hotel I get on my emails. I send thank you letters to the head coach, the principal and the counselors for allowing me into their school. “It is who I am, what I do. The guy I work with will be on the winning side at the end of the day.”

Good article, and Coach Wilson emphasizes the importance of recruiting NO and the I-10 corridor. I really like what he is bringing to the table.

Dear Seattle Seahawks.

Thank you so much for being a terrible franchise. Without you, Pete would have never left USC. Without Pete's absence at USC, Lame Kiffin wouldn't have left Tennessee after just one year. But most of all, without Lame Kiffin leaving Tennessee, LSU would not have Frank Wilson.

Thanks Seattle,
stowns

Didn't Wilson come to LSU before the Pete Carroll/Lane Kiffin saga?

I'm sure there were plenty of rumblings and backroom deals before Seahawks, USC, Tenn deal went down.
Kiffin knew for awhile. Garrett probably told him a month before if Seattle comes calling with unexpected ouster of Mora, be ready.

Yea but that would not fit the agenda of giving Miles no credit for anything good in LSU football...

Premium article so I'm here before this thread gets whacked.

Whoops. I swear it wasn't this morning when I read it, because I am not a member. Thought it was a freebie.

It's cool. I know they have free articles too. This may have been it. Honestly I can't tell when I clicked the link it just took me to the article but then again I'm a member.......

No problem then! Glad I didn't jump all over you and call you a complete loser.

Les, it's time to let the dog off the leash and let him do what he does best. Go get em' Frank.

I like he did with McCarthy and the last debacle. We are still getting investigated behind recruiters getting off the leash and breaking the rules.

I like Wilson, Really loved Porter. But Les needs to keep a deep pulse of whats going out there.
