Should we throw a bag at Bo Davis instead of the recruits? Surely he wants to come home to his alma mater, solidify a winning staff and be closer to home.

Not that I am in any way threatened by Texas YET, it is going to be hard for us to make up ground with Joseph and Harris there. They know all the negatives about LSU
bullshite.
They know the negatives of LSU under Miles, Alleva, and fricking Alexander.
And if all they have is negative recruiting, that shithouse will fall apart this season.

So the NCAA has already called Davis a liar, and he had a show cause.
LSU isn't in the position to hire a dirty coach.

Don’t think you’ll see Bo anywhere around LSU, other than on the opposing sidelines. That’s just my opinion.

Dumbasses like you make things so miserable. All you care about are star rankings and overall team ranking. The coaching staff seems to be taking the same approach as Clemson and Dabo, which is they won’t be out there throwing money around and worrying about offering 100s of kids. They will go after the type of player that fits the culture Kelly is building at LSU. That’s how you build long term grow. Otherwise you end up like Orgeron where you catch lightening in a bottle and then the program implodes.

This is so true. If Sark gets it going (Big If) they will cherry pick Louisiana the way Saban did. Texas being in the SEC with all of their Re$ource$ + being a playoff contender, is our worst nightmare. This Graduate Champions thing is cute and all but recruits like Green Money.

Oh I’m not defending him by any means. He had poor play, just saying he’s a part of why Louisiana kids are looking at Texas more.

Exactly. Nobody is saying Texas is this elite team recently, but if they are smart with their $ and resources they can make landing guys from our state very difficult on us. Downvote all you want but NIL is the driving factor for almost every 5 star. Now you can still be dominant not landing these guys (like us) but we need to keep every 5 star we produce home.

Listen if Sark stays out of the liquor store he will build a monster over there. He has Elite recruiters around him and all the money a player could want.

I’ll never forget I made a post after watching him warm up and how he carried himself before a game. He also played a quarter or so and was very inaccurate. I posted he’d be a flop and had like 4 up votes and 300 down votes.
Was this post from a different account? Harris was done with CFB (and long gone from LSU) in 2018.

Money will always beat us in recruiting. You can see our staff is struggling with elite recruits and are picking off three stars and four stars that they think are hidden gems. Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, and soon to be Texas are another tier of recruiting than us, we get their scraps.

This is the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard. People forget really fast and think they have this absolutely clear vision into the future. All you have to do is look at the results.
Nothing has changed for LSU and nothing will unless we start losing. That isn’t going to happen this year and when these kids start to see those National Championship implications on ESPN every week, things will change, especially if or when they see some of the teams they think is good for them are losing.
It’s easy to convince players you’re a winner and will “give” them all this money when there isn’t another college team doing the winning and you’re actually losing. That’s when it gets a little more difficult!
If all LSU needs to do is match some easily matched price then maybe we need to do 2 things, beat that price and either have someone or hire someone who can show them a clear path to make that money grow themselves. That’s way more powerful. Bidding war is over if you can show them there’s a clear path to make this current sum double or triple while in school. Like show them it’s 100% possible, if you do these things.
I’d wait until some things transpire during the season before I did this but imo that’s the time to do it and I’m sure they’re well aware of it. They have more inside info than we can imagine.

It’s like people don’t even remember that LSU beat Texas for 3 recruits less than a year ago

Their boosters are notoriously difficult and Texas won’t have the luxury of skating through the Big 12 with only 1 or 2 real games on the schedule. A couple 3-loss SEC seasons and Sark is cooked. Just like the guy before him, the guy before him, etc.
Posted on 8/11/23 at 2:18 pm to Captain Crown
They might land them but can they coach them? When (not if) Sarkisian is fired there will be a whole bunch of good players for sale.

Name them
Don't say Bo Davis either because he hasn't gotten anyone worth a shite since he left Bama

Maybe, but Sark will be in his 9th full season as a HC with stops at USC and Wash before Texas and has managed a career best single 9 win season over that span.
On average, he's a 7-5 coach. He is in a resource rich situation now so that may change, but he also has to deal with the external pressures notoriously around that program.

Every year it's the same shite with the dipshits that flood the board for a few days after a 4 or 5 star kids signs with another school. They'll go away and LSU will finish with a top 7-10 class just like we usually do.
