We’re gonna need to score a lot of points in the near future.

Seems like LB and Dline recruiting is fine. Secondary is starting to make me nervous.

Better hire more secondary staff members with connections. I mean you can hire many as you want now with new rule.

I don’t think the new rule changes recruiting limitations. AFAIK you’re still limited to 10 assistants with full off-campus recruiting privileges.

Hired a graduate assistant on DLine do the same with Secondary. I think it would help adding someone younger to help CR or safety grad.

A&M 2.0. I know Lanning isn't Jimbo, but if they are able to pull this class how the hell are they gonna keep all these kids under wraps in Eugene? Locker room implode? The idea of buying recruits will never work

I think this is where we sometimes miss the strategic nature of how Kelly recruits. I know NIL and all the other factors play in, but Kelly is seeking out the players that "buy in" to what he's building (ie The alignment). He was burned by players like Denver Harris and he was pretty clear about not buying players, which he clarified by saying he wants players that want to be part of the system. That doesn't mean we won't challenge from a NIL standpoint, but doesn't want players that prioritize compensation over development and team.

As for Lanning, I think he will do a much better job than Jimbo getting buy in.

just said he sees it as a 2 team race between Miami and Oregon

Same kid who just a couple of weeks ago said LSU was the team to beat. This is why football recruiting is not worth the time anymore

I can’t put my finger on exactly why, but this comment leads me to believe he will NOT be coming to LSU.

This new era of recruiting has me all kinds of fricked up, so take my shite comments for what they are: shite comments

I agree with you, but what football program has produced more "brand name" football players than LSU lately?

LSU is still respected as DBU, but that title has suffered the last 3-4 years, and will likely change if guys like this keep going to schools like Oregon. What the hell has Oregon done in football this century besides lose a NC to Cam/Auburn?

Yep... "It's not you. it's me"

I never thought he was coming here. Should shift all focus and resources to Antoine IMO

In fairness to Raymond, this has nothing to do with him or any other coach. I’d wager a lot on that.

Corey Raymond was like a dad to this kid a couple weeks ago. Now he’s all Oregon. Draw your own conclusions

Well yeah, but we probably need three corners in this class and have none committed at this moment. Hopefully we strike gold in the portal this offseason.

Oregon boards don’t mention LSU only Miami. Man this is bs we better come in 11th hour

FWIW, it's mostly been an OU-UM race. He might very well pick Oregon next week - Oregon is offering some serious $$ for commitment duration. The prevailing theory is that he picks Oregon now and then Miami will sign him in December. Or, he'll just commit to Miami next week.

I hope he chooses Miami. They’re recruiting with integrity in this deal. It’s clear what Oregon is doing.

Thanks for sharing AU! Don’t be shy to chime in. Appreciate you saying that. I think our insiders wanted us to feel like old school Corey Raymond we were in it for 5* DB’s
