31 of 49 attempts for 336 yards,4 touchdowns, including the eventual winning score on a fourth-and-22 play in the fourth quarter.

“There’s a reason he’s going to LSU. The kid has a frickin’ missile for an arm,” Caines said of the 6-4, 215-pound Rettig.

I really think him or Jennings wins the QB job in 2014 over Rivers.

Agree Tbird and think Rettig is that guy. Kid has special talent. So wish he didn't get injured as a Jr. His hype would have been so much bigger than it is nationally. As long as his decisionmaking and mental talent are close to his arm talent, he could be a 3-4 year starter. Jennings will get time as well because of his feet.

Looks like a missile launcher launching a missile to me. So, the kid has a missile launcher for an arm? That makes more sense.

Disagree..as much as I like this to be so I'd say it will be Jennings. Hopefully both develop into great QB's and both help LSU continue it's dominance.

I was thinking the same thing. Does he throw his arm down field?

Watched his brother playing against Notre Dame last night. The strong arm runs in the family. He threw an incompletion that hit the ground about 50 yards down field, bounced another 20 yards hit the ground again and bounced into darkness on the sideline.

Rivals high school profile

Chase Rettig stats from ESPN.com
Seriously, Chase Rettig is having a pretty good year at BC. He's a junior who started since part of the way through his freshman year. The poor guy has had to play for four different offensive coordinators in his three years there.

His numbers have improved each year. He doesn't have a great completion percentage but he's already reached 2800 yards though 10 games. Sixteen TD's and nine INT's. He's thrown for over 200 yards in all but one of their games.

They moved the ball pretty well on some drives. Their WR's couldn't get open and the line didn't give him much time. He killed them by looking down field until he was on the verge of being hit, then duping it off to a back or the TE for 20 and 30 yard gains.

Here's a pretty good article about Chase from The Washington Post

Damn! The defense must've been in prevent mode.
