Every person is different. And I won't pretend to know the in's and out's of his recruitment...much of which is probably over-aggerated (on both ends) if not simply untrue. But I can understand why a kid from Many, LA. may see the allure of attending school and playing football in Los Angeles. Even though it wasn't nearly as far as going from LA to L.A., one of the best things I ever did was leave my home state to attend school elsewhere.

Can’t really fault the kid for committing to USC. Problem seems to be with how the decision was made as much as what the decision is.
And I can’t lose the feeling that he’s another kid who is not as good as he's touted to be.

The kid plays a blitzing FS. The coaches (shoutout to his uncle) puts him in a spot where there is no one to block him. He then just runs downhill as fast as he can, and tries to de-cleat people.
He plays in a weak 2A where half the teams play a wing back offense and he’s free to create havoc.
Go watch Trey Holly’s highlights and you’ll see a lot of Many and a lot of Tackett. Tackett is an average athlete that actually his coaches do a good job schematically to allow him to be free and get stats. He will take a while to adjust to actual big time football

Yeah when his uncle (or whoever that guy is) was trying to say that Tackett just really liked Wisconsin, it gave it away.
OSU is the best of those 3 by far, but he's got to be legit elite to play there. Clearly he didn't feel comfortable going that route. At least USC is in Los Angeles.

It's obvious I know alittle more about the recruitment of this kid than you do but it's ok. He did consider Lsu after house paid him visit & in return tackett visited Lsu.

You do realize that same team that plays in a weak 2A class pretty much kept trey holley bottled up for the 1st half the last time they played
