He's talking about patience and letting blocks develop in front of him before he just charges through.

And he’s probably awesome at that, but I’m talking about how a “complete RB” has to be able to ball for the QB, as well as run and catch balls out of the backfield.

Yes he is. He's as talented as either one of them.

As a die hard LSU fan, I’m hoping Emery is the real deal, but I’ve only seen his film online. I will say that I’ve watched Zach play in person for three years now at North Shore in Houston and he’s the most electric RB I’ve ever seen in person. I wasn’t around when Adrian Peterson came through little Palestine High School in east Texas but I’ve seen his HS film on YouTube and he made the competition look slow and unable to tackle. I’ve seen Zach take it the distance so many times against Texas 6A defenses that when he’s in the game, most folks think there’s a good chance he’ll score every time they hand him the ball. If his blocks are set up right, he explodes through the hole, sheds the safety then it’s off to the races. I say “when he’s in the game” because he splits carries with another future SEC back- John Gentry, who just committed to Arkansas yesterday. The only defense I’ve ever seen limit his yards was last year in the Texas 6A D1 title game vs Duncanville, which may have had the best HS defense in the country last year. Even then, he ended up with over 90 rushing yards. He’s just an amazing athlete (135 SPARQ) and a very polished and well-coached RB. I’d love to see him in purple and gold, but each kid has to choose their own path. I just hope his path takes him to Baton Rouge.

In highschool he wasnt. Fournette and Guice were on a different level. I will go off my eye test compared to some rankings.

Emery is overrated.

Agreed I like both. And I want all the talent on LSU. I mean why cant we have both? Should say Emery and Evans. Pairing those with Davis would wreck the SEC.

Imho I think emery has better vision and follows his blocks better than fournette. I have watched alot of LF and even with the jags he doesn't have the vision that elite backs have and misses alot of holes. LF is power and speed and emery is vision and speed. Just my .02 based on what I have seen.

Emery is the best RB to come out of LA since Kevin Faulk.

A ton of good RBs from LA have played for Saban and Miles. Emery has a long way to go to reach them.

Emery is gift but having him paired with Ty vastly increases his potential imo. I find it comical anyone can think Emery is better than LF7 especially right now.

Evans is special. Not generational talent but he's going to be a better all around back in college

Emery has nice, fluid moves along with balance and speed. Hope he's great for the Tigers. Davis also looks the part. Running back position will be exceptional the next few years!

Definitely the greatest LA running back to ever scuttle his own career- and for a great while, life.

He could have been one of the greatest ever- but chose a lawless path of no return.

Other than missing some blocking assignments Emery doesn't look half bad. You can see the talent, but you also see a guy who didn't play football for almost 2 years.

You owned that friggin thread!

I didn’t post in there, but I loved Emery’s HS highlights. That guy was awesome in space. His undoing turned out to be that he could not take the pounding without fumbling.

Dude, the argument was…is he as good as Fournette and Guice.

Just take the L

You waited 3 years to bump a thread because someone irritated you?

Where did I address that exact claim? People have been shitting on Emery for 12 hours now even though he's played solid.

He has talent but he's still trying to figure it out. As I said, he looks like a guy with talent who hasn't played in a few years.

Obviously not as good as Fournette.
