Can he run?

Can he ever. He's an exceptional dual-threat. I have seen him play multiple times and he's going to need some polish in the passing game. He's pretty accurate but you can tell he hasn't had a ton of fundamental footwork training etc. He'll get that eventually. I'd trust the coaches on this eval. We don't want another Milroe.

Haven could play college BB just about anywhere too.

you have to keep in mind though...the kid started his first game in 2023 as a freaking 14 year old freshman. Lit Parkview the fuk up even in a close loss. Played this year at age 15-16 and made it to the state championship.

In watching him, I had a hard time believing he was is the number ONE recruit in the nation but you can tell he's got some SERIOUS tools and a high ceiling. But again...i temper all expectations when thinking of Milroe.

He is also super smart, extremely level headed, high character and has good parents. It's definitely no Underwood situation with the parents negotiating their own income as the highest priority.

It appears that USC has set their sights on Houston, and they're making a big push for him.

He will take the highest bid.....and that won't be LSU.

Agree. I watched him a couple times. I wasn’t greatly impressed. However, he’s got a couple years left in HS. I think he has the tools. Definitely has the size. Hopefully he develops.

I’ve seen him play 1/2 dozen times. Very very raw for a QB. No question superior athlete will be interested to watch him play the position going forward.

Peyton Houston. Has a classic QB name...and a Heisman character. Will be Clemson’s starting QB in 28.

I just don't understand why so many LSU fans are shitting on the idea of Elijah Havens being a starting QB for the PURPLE&GOLD. He's the #1 QB prospect and the #1 overall prospect who happens to be in our backyard, how many times has LSU been the favorite for the #1QB and #1 overall prospect? If the kid is the #1 overall prospect for '27 he must be doing something right and I think I will take the experts opinions on this matter over all of y'all because the negativity around this kid is really suspect.

I agree, it is really sad. I personally am excited in the prospect of getting haven. I think his potential is limitless. Get him in with Joe Sloan, and we could have another heisman winner on our hands.

I don't think people are negative about the kid, it's more negative about the process. It's a matter of money now, and kids will go to the highest bidder. Hopefully, in Elijah Haven's case, he'll be an exception, but it's doubtful. LSU will pay, but I don't think we'll be able to match what others will offer. The hope is that Elijah and his family are happy enough with what LSU offers to stay home.

I have to disagree, the negativity on this board is definitely about the kid and not the process. Recruiting overall, yes it's about the f'ed up process, but this is about Elijah and I don't know why. Earlier I posted Elijah would be our '27 starting QB and the down votes were ridiculous. I've seen this kid play and he is the real deal and if we don't go all.out for this kid and miss out, we will regret this for sure.
